The phone is good but all foldable phones will fail durability tests. If that is the case, why can't they sell foldable phones cheaper?

No word on the durability front from its first edition, yet. This looks neat imo but easily scratch prone, impractical price so consumers don’t bother. If priced properly, it can eat iPhone and iPad together.

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2020Hell NO Fold is cheaper and more durable You pay more... moreIt will not break, just scratch, no glass here. That's where we could also benefit from foldable screen in classic smartphone.

Price and durability put aside, the design looks far better than any other folded phone for me. Wat'n'see what new materials will provide in the future, but it could be usable if kept in a socket as I already do for my actual phone (I hate screen protections).
Would also be nice if the edge were slightly higher than the screen, so when put on a table, only the edge touch the table, avoiding the screen to be in contact with dust and be scratched by a small movement.

You pay more for a device that will break easily and get scratched ;)

Simply a dumb design, screen outside when folded? Whay were they thinking?

How much Mate XS is better than Samsung's, even though they don't know anything about the hands-on experience with the Mate since the last one didn't even release outside China.

                    Another contribution to e-waste.
