3rd party apps can do this.
During gaming, it will automatically crank up the refresh rate and lower it during media consumption to save battery.
Update where AI takes care of all this will be supplied by manufacturers.

DavidRegalJnr, 03 Mar 20207.1 inch beast! Now my Mate 20 x has a perfect replacement.... moreBut what about the camera? I think the Huawei 20 X camera will still be better. Camera's on game phones mostly suck.

7.1 inch beast! Now my Mate 20 x has a perfect replacement..but i reckon it will be the $600 range and still never regarded Xiaomi as a proper brand

Very fantastic phone indeed. I like blackshark series. And pricing is also on the high-ends.

Where's that good old image of iphone (randomly high number) and galaxy(infinite)? I mean i get phablets(+5.7-6.4') but this is getting to to a point where it's not a tablet it's just a hi-blet (slav joke). Bring back 16:9 or go home, China is drunk, Google as well and everyone owning a phone with an aspect ratio higher than 2.

I don't like the path Xiaomi îs going too. One variant for Mi Mix, one for Mi Note, one for Black Shaek, two for Mi, 2 for Redmi Note and 2 for Redmi should be enough for the entire year. To many useless rebrands and variant should Focus on fewer device în each price category

                      7.1" (1440x3120, 19.5:9 aspect ratio). Finally Mate 20X has a real successor.

OK, Xiaomi total f**ked the Pro version - 7.1" display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio is a 100% phablet, not a phone. Why to pay super mega extra cash for a phone that actually can't be used as a phone?!... :-/

I like the UI very much. Xiaomi have a much better UI than iOS.

That screen might be the biggest gaming phone ever made. 7.1 inches... With a whopping 2K screen.

Love the dual vapour chamber cooling system. And they are pretty big cooling systems too.

This Black shark 3 and 3 Pro is a very serious and extremely solid rival and equalizer to the world's most powerful phone... The Red Magic 5G. I think Black Shark 3 5G is the 2nd most powerful phone in the world. Followed in 3rd place by the Lenovo Legion...

Kind of impressive how the top three of the world's most powerful handsets...

Are no other... Than Gaming Phones! Epic. Legendary.

Is there a price for the 2 versions already?

Why 90hz only when every other gaming smartphone will come this year with 120hz screen (Nubia Red, Asus Rog, Lenovo Legion)? Even Samsung Galaxy supports 120hz already , and it's not even a gaming smartphone.
Black Shark 2 came last year with 60hz when Nubia and Asus had 90/120hz already, and now it comes with 90hz when Nubia and Asus have 120/144hz. Black Shark is always one year late behind all competitors implementing new tech. Disappointing.
