Xiger, 23 May 2012They do know about the processor, but not to the level wher... moreXiger if i were a spoilt brat i would have never started to commment here just swapped my phone.
These days i am considering swapping while the s2 has some value, a month down the line its price would have droped substantially.
Samsung should never have added the G to the end of 9100, they should have called it Galaxy SIIG that way people like me would have known immedetly it was different.
With regards to the expectations we have from them, whats the harm in expressing it here on on other social platforms. Just cos they are growing does not mean that they can ignore devices they still sell.
I am no Apple fan but atleast they are able to offer IOS5 to 3 generations of iphone devices. Samsung has to dedicate more resources or get more info and not cite processor difference as an excuse to delay rolling out ICS to the G variant. I would be completely fine and not whine at all if they had not rolled out for the non G variant but that step itself categorized us G users as step children. Hope you dont misunderstand my post either but we are on the same side, not sure why you are drifting towards defenfing Samsung who has not even had the courtesy to reply to peoples emails or make a public announcement wrt the release date.

dayle, 22 May 2012Xiger people nowadays dont use a device for longer than 18 ... moreThey do know about the processor, but not to the level where they are confident enough to release a stable ROM. You must understand the testing and trial and error procedure Samsung has to do to make sure their product is fit to be released.
Nowadays, people are too materialistic. If you have used your phone for only 2 months then I'm sorry but I think you're a rich brat. If you're not wanting to wait for the updates, so be it and switch to the iPhone where you are spoonfed.
There isn't really a point telling me what I already know. I'm sorry if you misinterpreted my message. I'm merely asking the general conscious to stay calm and wait. Your demonstrational ways of mailing Samsung will really have a very small effect on what they will do. They KNOW we want ICS and they WILL be doing so. Its the S2 for heaven's sake.

iam using i9100g for more than 6 months..had no trouble with the phone..rarely it freezes and had to restart.. but this will happen in any smartphone ..my cousin is using non g version and it has trouble like hanging and restarting sometimes..so people dont worry that ur using the g version its a good phone...but not happy with samsung for delaying the ics update in india..they should have atleast given a time frame when it will be released. so that we dont have to check updates everyday.

Those of you that want to wait patiently - please wait paitiently .
Please dont fire up your browser and visit this page, GSM arena has several other pages of interest.
But dont tell the few of us who are trying to get Samsung to believe that this update is important to the G device and who share status updates we recieve from blogs and service centers, etc

SAM, 21 May 2012HI XIGER FIRST OF ALL ITS EASY TO SAY ANYTHING TO ANYONE. D... moresam wat is ur prob wid this device.. it works at par wid the non g version.. u only hav a prob wid it cause the ics update hasnt released yet.. i am using the device foe almost 6 months now i dnt feel any difference.. over that the battery backup is better in g version.. so y complain.. according to me its a better varient of s2.. i hav no complaints and love this fone..
and if u talk about certaion prob.. evry fone has some prob or the other.. evn the non g version.. thts the drawback of technology..
for the ics update u shld be happy that samsung vil give u a non bug version.. the ics update in non g version has a lot of bugs.. so y cant u wait for some more time if u hav waited for soo long.. mailing samsung wont do any good as they only repl a auto generated mail and vil keep doin so.. so please stop cribbing and wait patiently..

Xiger, 21 May 2012Sam, I'm tired of your non-punctuated sentences and paragra... moreXiger people nowadays dont use a device for longer than 18 months, i have had mine for 2 already. When i got mine ICS has begun rolling out for 9100, and i had no clue i was beign sold the G version. If Samsung does not know much about the processor and chipset on the G variant why did they have them rolling out with it to begin with.
Besides the current ROM is very buggy itself, the phone needs a reboot every day in order to run smoothly, other times when listening to music if you unlock the phone and immedetly use the volume control it freezes while emiting a loud noise and reboots. The camera is buggy - 3 shots of more and it hangs most of the time. I regret having let go of my Nexus S to get this white elephant with a lower processor and half the amount of RAM it did much better with the same apps(except the Games).
Samsung needs to communicate better, if the release date is Aug 12, just say it and we will stop talking about this till then but just dont act like they dont know anything at all of the developments of the new firmware. Service centers still provide some details wheareas customer care does not even know what ICS is.
