I do get tired of people who want cutting edge handsets being lumped in as spec-hungry fanboys. Not all of us look at the handset as a toy or a status symbol, for many it is a necessary tool.

Vertu phones have always been the best example of the old adage that you can dip a turd in gold, but it'll still be a turd.

Not that s40 is shit, but you don't enter a Toyota into a luxury car show.

Every nokia article released on here has Android fanboys crying that Nokia should've used Android and while I do think that would be a nice combination as well,

                            1. it wouldn't have seperated Nokia from the other Android Manufacturers

                            2. Nokia had MeeGo which was a better Open Source OS than Android due to it being the full linux, not just Linux Based. The MeeGo on the N9 is not the full MeeGo either. The issue there is, Nokia swept it under the rug which in turn was a very bad decision but its what they (not just Elop) wanted so if it ends up destroying them then thats what they chose.

Go and look at any nokia article posted on here after the Microkia merge and you'll see that all of them have Android fanboys making the statements that Nokia shouldv'e used Android.

Nokia after failing in technology market now entering in Jewelry shopping. Since nokia is known for its miserliness in giving to its customers for its Hardware and software that's why they have chosen this new business.

[deleted post]Walk into a phone store and ask the first customer you see if ICS added anything relevant over Gingerbread. There is an extremely good chance they won't know what your talking about. . . That is if there phone was even offered an upgrade by the manufacturer in the first place. You know how android fragmentation is these days :).

Most people won't take advantage of what their phone can do. As long as they can text, talk and surf facebook you've got 90% of the people covered. Only fanboys who have to "compensate" care about TEH SPECZZZ.
