Dunno where this going to end but i hoppe i really do hope it will be available in Slovakia.
And also i hope for a lot of disk space and a decent camera.
I know its a gaming phone but even a gaming phone should have a decent camera with at least 120 doxmark score or better.

MrPhone, 05 Mar 2020You are right but again, this phone only appeals to gamers.... moreThat's the point, every product have it's audience. A business man will probably never be a serious gamers, obvious choice will be your normal flagship. That's the beauty of this open system, there will be a right phone for everyone.

A student will choose budget phone, older generation may take a large screen phone, businessman will choose something secured, and of course we have gamer phone for gamer.

Well, for ads is up to the gamer themselves, if they do truly enjoy the game, why not? Gacha, why not as long as you enjoy the element of surprise, it's same as the old school card game. And most ads appear only on free play games. Games that really required payment are pretty much ads free or at a minimum. At least that's my experience. Revenue must come from one place or another, similar to regular apps.

It's usually OnePlus and Realme fanbo*s trying to pin ROG 2 and others into gaming category coz they know, those gaming devices are better than the flagships in their hands.

Can't ask businessmen to use gaming phones as their main driver, that will be silly. Gaming phones can be used like a regular phone, yes, but once more, only gamers will buy those. And you already understand the mechanics of mobile games, don't you. Ads, pay-to-win, etc. Futureproofing by buying a gaming phone is not really true as I've mentioned that system performance is still more important than gaming quality. (Again, unless you're a gamer :))

MrPhone, 05 Mar 2020Your comparison in the last paragraph is pretty misjudged. ... moreEven so your argument makes no sense since most of the gaming phone aren't price much more expensive, in fact most of them probably cost below the likes of iphone or S20. Besides that, gaming phone is work as well as a normal flagship, maybe aside from the camera specs, but they offer feature missing from normal flagship, dual speaker, high refresh rate (at least before 90/120hz become mainstream recently), better cooling for sustain performance.. .etc.

Gaming phone have only 1 year of support, and so? most non-apple phone does not provide support for majority of the phone after 2 years anyway, doesn't make that much of a different.

And lastly, what is the thing that a normal flagship can do but gaming phone cannot? You talk as if a gaming phone can only be used for gaming. A gaming phone is still able to use for productivity.

End of the day, gaming phone is just like a flagship with tweaked hardware/software to cater to gaming enthusiast, whereas normal flagship focus on cameras and design.

I can just get a S20, iPhone 11 Pro, realme X2 Pro, Mi 10 Pro, etc. Those phones are not slow at all, even all the mentioned phones offer cooling solution. Is that a cheap Toyota? Not exactly. Are gaming phones really that fast? Well in games, yes. But in other aspects? Just the same.

And who really wants to buy a gaming phone for futureproofing in games? Like, the average person swaps handsets every 2-3 years. Let's see if you can hold onto that phone for 4-5 years. Gaming laptops can be used for a very long time, as there is still software support provided their hardware is capable of it. Gaming phones don't even have more than 1 year of support.

And gaming phones really, only appeal to a certain audience. The regular people will choose to buy a proper normal flagship. They're not stupid. You think they'll use a gaming phone for work and productivity?

Keep your gaming phone, let's see what hurdles you run into later. Tell me your device gets at least 2 years of software support.

Developer do not require you to have the latest phone or chipset to play. Similar to PC, a 3 years old setup will run fine on modern game in normal setting, but gamer will crave for the best smoothest and quality provided by the latest hardware.

Similar, a cheap Toyota get you to the same destination as a Ferrari. So why do people still get a Ferrari that cost more, harder and more expensive to maintain?

Normally thin laptop has thermal problem, but that laptop proved everyone wrong.
So, if Lenovo comes up something new with cooling I won't be surprised.
And Gaming phone is nothing but a gimmick and a lot of lies. So, Samsung does not feel comfortable doing.
What gaming brand phone does is, they increase the SoC throttle temperature and let the SoC perform even at higher temperature. That's why it put higher score at Antutu or graphical test. I highly doubt how much will I feel comfortable holding a gaming phone in my hand.

Games just keep getting advanced each day, their graphics does improve and closes the gap between mobile and PC gaming.

This means you'll need to keep swapping your flagship handset every few years. You'll end up spending more than buying your typical iPhone, Galaxy, or Huawei P/Mate. If, you are an extremely competitive gamer and needs to play at the highest settings (doesn't matter if you are an Esports player who can get money from it).

Devs also introduce pay-to-win and gacha system in their game. The US goverment has once planned to stop the idea of gacha in game, as it essentially works like a lottery. Even if you play responsibly, both pay-to-win and gacha just makes the game a cash farm. Mobile games devs do this to compensate the fact most of their games are free. But you can end up paying more than a flagship handset, console, and PC games.

Not to mention some greedy devs like Gameloft and EA puts lots of ads so their game doesn't become a game, but a commercial site.

And only popular Esports games like PUBG and COD Mobile require the use of gaming phones for best experience. Others can be played reasonably without gaming phones (ex. Mobile Legends, Freefire Battlegrounds, AoV, etc.)

Mobile gaming is just overhyped. Really what are those nerds thinking?

Lenovo had a bad rep in phone making and PC support. Already heard some people complaining about this. They've desperately tried to slash prices of their gaming laptop prices (ex. Legion Y540, Y740, etc.). It didn't work, because people still prefer the Asus ROG (the most popular), Acer Nitro/Predator, and MSi gaming laptops (ex. GF63 Thin 9SC, GF73, etc.)

You should grow up. Gaming is purely fictional. Phones should be merely for calling, messaging (Social media), browsing the web, having daily applications, and take camera/videos. Mobile gaming is just overhyped considering many devs want you to pump put cash more than your flagship handset and slap ads making the game basically a promotion site.

I think the cooling system is actually a semiconductor cooling refrigerator with liquid cooling.

Basically I have a fridge that uses semi conducted cooling. Instead of refrigerant gas.

Combine this with a liquid or vapour chamber... And you basically have a fridge on onboard your phone.

No one has done this before on a phone... So this really could be a first for the smartphone world. And those semiconductor Collings systems are quick and powerful. Better than gas.
