Current estimates predict Samsung will be capable of producing 1 million foldable displays per month by the year's end.

I hope it means that foldable midrangers are getting closer. Foldable phones are amazing, but the current prices are absolutely insane.

Luxor, 05 Mar 2020You just have the answers to everything don't you. Why not ... moreCriticising does not equal complaining. I'm not ranting either, just trying to get a point across to a troll defending more production of early e-waste.

Why not use microLED technology at this point? Same reason for using lithium based batteries; shorter life span.

Sure, if you leave it in sunlight 24/7 at full brightness it will theoretically, definitely burn out, but, you can break _anything_ quite fast if you live in theoretical land.

You should go outside more often to see the impact on peak brightness. The average user keeps their smartphone for 3 to 4 years. And even if it were 1-2 years, they could sell their devices.

There is also the issue of burn in which I specifically hadn't mentioned because I personally never had the issue. That doesn't make it any less of a reality though because others experience it.
