It was a great device
unfortunately, nokia treat it like a step kid.

I'm gonna get new phone in July/August and 100% sure it would be between HTC One-X or SGS-III, or if Sony could come out with Quad core, I would consider it too.

(I will be paying full price, not subsidize, as there were no subsidize phone in my country)

I have tried the WP platform and for the moment I do not like it. It has improved immensly but it is not there yet for me. Only Nokia are putting their full weight behind it at the moment and when one looks at their latest stock evaluation and their crash in market share unless something changes hugely they will not be able to keep that up for long.

Then Nokia will be faced with some tough decisions. In my opinion they should have stuck with Meego/Memo. This is one lovely thing that Nokia put together the best OS out of all of them. I am big on Android and will probably buy GS3 but I still think Meego is incredible.

WP7 is a boring device. The ui is poor, no wonder lg doesn't want to release any phones of windows anymore, they probably lose money. They should just stick with android

I guess the money-drain dried up and Microsoft isn't sponsoring LG-built WP7.X devices anymore at the moment. Maybe that tour by Ballmer through Korea is just going around with a newly filled moneybag, prodding companies to please try one more devise with WP7.X. WP7 was deadborn and nothing will be able to revive it. WP8 looks to go the same route, with older phones not being able to run it, as rumor has it.

                        wp7 might be unique
but after 2-3 days, it feel boring
no wonder the 2nd hand lumia price is very low.

AnonD-52716, 30 Apr 2012I think it's a bit of a shame that people aren't giving WP7... moreYour comment is written all over it "WP/Nokia Fanboy"
So stop the act about owning S2 and IP4S, Just come out from your cave...
You said its smooth but actually its pseudo smooth since its not a multitasking OS so it only focuses on scrolling.
And fresh! What is that? did you drink the WP OS or what? is it some kind of juice or vegetable?

If people are buying phones for smoothness and "Fresh" they should buy non-OS phones because they are fast.

We want OS with multitasking, Encoding, Great games, A lot of apps, Better integration, ...etc (Android) NOT Smooth and fresh

And to prove you are phony, If you own S2 then you know its smooth and IP4S also smooth!

I think it's a bit of a shame that people aren't giving WP7 more of a chance and that companies like LG are forced to stop making WP handsets. I understand that at the moment it seems like WP = NOKIA, but even then, you hardly ever see WP devices out there.
I'm an android (GS2), and iOS user (Iphone4), and a just bought my better half a Lumia 710 the other day, and I must say I was pretty impressed. It's actually a really nice OS, very fluid and fresh. It's also really smooth. I don't think I'll be dropping android just yet, but if Microsoft remove a few restrictions/iron out some flaws, then a would seriously consider a WP next time I have to change. If more people actually picked one up and used it a little, I think quite a few would also probably be pleasantly suprised.

                                Good for them
WP is finished because it has nothing special and people talk about how smooth it is but the truth Android can be more smoother than WP but Android wants to give all running apps equal chances other than focuses on scrolling only... Development source

Microsoft you don't have we it takes in cellular phones so just quit, You have better chance in PC and Game Console.

Hmm, WP has a lot of ground to make up here. Yes Windows 8 is due out later in the year, but is there enough critical mass in the WP lineup to carry it through until then? Seems like only Nokia and the occasional HTCs are out there at the moment and they are not selling well by all accounts. I spend a lot of time out in the wild and I have never yet seen a genuine consumer with a Windows phone.

If Android manufacturers and Apple produce some absolute killer phones before the arrival of WP8, will it stand much of a chance?

If Nokia were not in the WP market now, MS would be finished in the mobile phone world by now. I think there is a fair chance they are anyway to be honest.

WP is Ok. I do like how smooth it is.
