    I'll stick to my iPhone that receives zero day OS updates, security patches etc for 5+ years. I'll stick to my iPhone with on-the-spot warranty replacement for hardware issues. I'll stick to my iPhone with class-leading CPU.

    zero day OS updates => Yeah but most of the iOS updates are features that has been on android phones for many years. I've never seen an iOS update that makes the phones faster. It almost always slows it down.

    Security patches for 5 years => I am not so poor that I have to use the same phone for more than a year. That said, I do carry old phones to fit my sim cards from other countries, never had any of them hacked. Who uses a phone for 5 years nowadays? I mean, who even uses a phone for more than 1 year, especially here on a tech/phone forum? 80% of the people in my country don't, and the remainder 20% don't really even use smartphones.

    on-the-spot warranty replacement for hardware issues => So that works out for your first year. What happens for the next 4 years when you're using your phone? Let me guess, apple charges you an arm and a leg and a nose for the repair?

    Class-leading CPU => A CPU that can do nothing special. Each iPhone feels and operates exactly just like the previous iPhone. The only difference is... synthetic benchmarks. The old iPhones can only serve to let you realise actually how bad they were when compared to the newer iPhones, but in reality it's the same in usage.
    I get to use my old S9 as a device to copy and duplicate hotel keycards when I travel, or crack wifi passwords, or as a home automation remote. Yeah, it's CPU and hardware actually has uses.

Your priva... moreyes, their machines are listening. it is not privacy breach because you are provided with the t&c that provides for ad targeting for you to review before you sign up. see, machine to machine communication is encrypted and does not involve humans to intercept your information for their sinister use. you are championing a modded app here that you are not too sure about. at least with google apps they have disclosures and if you find anything unusual other than they claim to be you can very well go after them, while with this modded app there is nowhere for you to go. see, in the grown-up world there is something we call accountability and that's what your modded app doesn't have.

                          From a corporate management perspective, it will be driven by a desire to maintain current customers and increase revenue. All changes are.
                          I'm not privy to inside stories, but I'm pretty sure it's a case where people are getting fed-up and possibly leaving iOS alone and go for android.

                          For example, in the US, lots of people pay for content/apps. It doesn't work out in many other countries. A developer will earn much more from ads than people paying for apps. When the ad service is running 24/7, the revenue will increase a lot more. I guess it'll likely drive people to purchase full apps instead?

                              This API is for developers, and for the ad companies (including Google). So it won’t give Apple any money. They only do this because developers are yelling for Apple to allow more channels for ads for their own revenues.

                              Good thing Apple allows us to disable it.

In some cases a Mi 10 Pro or Huawei Mate 30 Pro can outperform Samsung S20 or iPhone 11 Pro. Meanwhile, Lenovo Z6 Pro or Oppo Reno 10x zoom are quite underwhelming. And Chinese phones don't have that malware you mentioned. Just adware (and includes Samsung).

                                        Apple is intentionally throttling iPhones after 3 years of usage (which is still faster than a Galaxy S/Note Exynos of the same age anyway). Which is unacceptable, although most users are expected to swap phones after 3 years of usage maximum. So 5 years of support is useless, when 3 years are enough.

                                        Let's be clear actually. Apple still stands out and won't shake Fandroids out of the way. Even Samsung can slap ads from Samsung Push Service and Galaxy Gift. It instantly made my S10 and even momma's Note 9 feel cheap. Samsung actually throttles its phone by giving underwhelming Exynos chipsets and more bloated UI every year, which people failed to notice. Chinese phones are a mixed bag not in terms of software, but build quality and customer support (depends where you live). Apple just restricts OS capability, that's it.

                                        End of the day, it's to people's taste of owning a phone. But there is no use trolling Apple when even Samsung can't beat its Chinese counterparts and the Chinese having mixed quality (ex. Poco X2).
