the price seems to be fair compare to s20 and s20+ pricing.
sony offers 256Gb + some unique features against samsung offering 128Gb ( that 8K shooting will fill the storage faster even with using sd card they aren't capable of recording 8K yet), and a fake telephoto lens just like LG approach.
so no one would favor s20 or s20+ over xperia 1 II when it comes to pricing

Build quality of the Redmi lineup is generally still behind Samsung or Huawei.

Sony please dont worry xiaommi will offer equally same thing for 1/3 price if that doesnt taught you how to attract people to buy Sony brand then nothing.
In current life, era and timespace noone apart the 1% of super rich people is interested to spend a lot on something which havent more value than its other sibling from other much cheaper brand which does the same thing for much less money.
Thus to my personal advice.

Dont know about extra DAC, but I believe they are using Qualcomms SD extra coprocessor space for sound, as 3D Reality audio processing is hardware based.
Consider also a hardware level enhanced 3.5 mm jack,
and the most interesting sound feature IMO:
DSEE Ultimate is real time upscale processing, meaning not only mp3, but anything you hear or stream online is upscaled to near hi res sound quality.

Xperia 10 II release is certainly prior to that.

The only reason I'd buy a Sony phone is if they'd incorporated their audio tech into the phone. I'd be very interested to know what dac they're using for the headphone jack. It'd be a great alternative to the LG V60.

Although Pricing is not exactly known yet.
Xperia 1 mark II is very expensive, but has every right to be.
Xperia 10 mark II is not expensive at all, and is quite well priced, just in line with newest 2020 Xiaomi and other midrangers.

Sony nailed it with these phones. About the price, I'd say it's not that expensive when an S20 Ultra is 1400$. And something like the Find X2 Pro is the same price as this Mk II, but I think it's a less complete offering.
If they are released soon enough (mid April), it'll be a good thing.
