The battery comes out without any tools. For everything else, you just need the basics (no need to fight excessive adhesive or proprietary screws).

I love my Galaxy s10 Active. I have dropped it hundreds of times, and no damage! I don't care how pretty a phone is ... it must stand up to abuse or it is useless. I'm glad Samsung still offers a rugged phone.

Been on chat and phone w/ tech reps and they don't know how many antennas it has for cellular. Is it 4x4 MiMo or 2x2 MiMo ?
WiFi MiMo 2x2 is listed in specs, but not cellular.

Luxor, 12 Mar 2020You have proven the point that people only buy pretty phone. There's certainly a gap between this and "pretty", but at least if I need a rugged model I wouldn't avoid it out of its ugliness.

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2020A 10mm thick phone would be a nightmare for people who love... morethese kind of people would not have a job on a Building site or do extreme sports where durability and water resistance is required. pretty phones would not last 5 minutes if dropped from a great height or into a muddy puddle.

Back then people at least wouldn't accept a phone without a 3.5mm jack.

The ugliness is a bonus. But people just want pretty phone. So the sales go down the drain for S5. Xcover Pro is like a reincarnation of that except people want more practicality these days and they are more accepting of ugly or thick phone.

Pabliell, 07 Mar 2020Would you look at that! It actually is possible to have IP6... moreI know!!

LG should follow in these footsteps. Most of their phones 'are' MIL-STD-810G and IP-68 certified anyway.

Make a rugged flagship with all the bells and whistles, with a removable battery like these and they can actually have a loyal following once again.

this is how a phone should be designed. All those claims of eliminating the headphone jack or removable batteries for "waterproofing" are obviously just lies.

I like it as it is. If they want to make a version with a nicer camera, that would be even better.

But then again, how would they be able to sell yearly/monthly releases if they made all their products like these?
