this is my answer to know which one is better, SGS 2 / SG note or Pureview, android or symbian, or else nokia or samsung
in Overallities SGS 2/SG note is way better than Pureview, why? because pureview is just a slightly-smart cameraphone, but as you know, there are lot of camera-nerd or atleast people which prefer the cam than the overall use, when you say a phone with 41 mp, they will say OH I WILL BUY IT. Of course that 41 mp cam is get a lot of point if you get what I mean.
The OS, which one is better? This time it's still owned by android, ofcourse because of his anytime free things it offer, but hey just like android being updated every time, the symbian are also get that too. Belle is way more stepforward than his previous Anna, what will you say if carla hit the shelf? Android, especially 4.0 above need more rams and cores, but what make symbian special, they do not need more than one core and much of rams, and still it can be a match with android, though the thing that symbian offer is way more less than android (especially the apps)
and now which phonemaker is better? ofcourse nokia is still the best, even compared with other phonemaker. Nokia is a legend of the phone, yes only the 'phone', they lag in software. You just know how beatiful N9 was, but it's installed whith the meego, and look like no further future come with it. if that phone got android, i think it will kill any competitors, but well its shell got WPhone OS. That N9, Lumia 800/900 hardware is so beauty, unibody, and also hardmetal, unlike any SGS which use plastics and almost the same design.
So, SGS 2/Note is overally better than Pureview, Android is better than symbian (for now), but Nokia is still owning the best 'phone' maker now.

Look, Nokia is smart, they made the Pureview for the camera buffs, so you have the best Camera and its also your phone. Its like Sony, having the walkman and also making it a phone, but unfortunately they have lost the plot. I would buy the purview strictly because its a great camera, and well my phone is together with it. way to go boys.

i had vibrant for a year htc inspire 4g for 8 months know samsung galaxy blaze and d only ting i use it for is games and browsing.nokia n8 is my main companion its just better in every other way other than browsing and gaming oh almost forgot i use skype video call on my blaze 2 but dats just about it

Asia + Africa + Middle East + Russia + India + Latin America is almost 70% of the world market share, and Nokia + Symbian is still #1 in those continents / subcontinents / countries.
North America is only 1% and Europe 21% statistically wise.

Nokia should have given some thought to the overall specs of this phone. OK they have brilliant camera but this phone is no flagship.
That said, nokia is still the best!
I own an Asus Eee pad which runs a nearly untouched version of ICS, but I still prefer my symbian phone.....simply because its uncluttered and much more efficient.

2 apps? fm transmitter is a hardware feature
3 note has a huge battery, thats the only reason it lasts more than a day. android power managment is well known for being bad.
4 no free turn-by-turn offline navigation exists on android. again, if it did, coverage is nowhere near nokia maps. navteq has the best maps and a lot of gps apps on android use their maps
5 its not the same as nokia sleeping screen
6 i understand, but on some hdtvs it doesnt work or you need an adapter which you dont get with your expensive phone. also there are remote desktop apps on symbian
7 true, but why would you need them? i have no reason to monitor ram on n8
8 n8 has microsoft apps for free, look it up.
ive tried android and went back to symbian. its my choice and you cant tell me that android is better for me.
maybe for you, but i want more from a phone...

People saying this smartfone is chunky are deluded..they want big proper cameras in a slim waistline,get real it cant happen..I am buying one along with millions of others.

Oh so you are the expert in Android now! how do you know did you ever have Android phone? because i have and it does, Most of Galaxy Nexus users use it because it doesn't have MicroSD
2-please explain, i was reffering to the fm transmitter.
I don't want to put links because GSMarena will report my comments you can find it in Google play "Quick FM transmitter" by FUNA team and there are plenty of apps like that.
3-seriously doubt it, maybe on standby.
Search in Google Play "Easy Battery Saver" by 2Easy Team and read users comments who are using it and how it stands for days in Galaxy Note "of course it will disable some features in sleep mode".
4-sygic is not free and if it was, its nowhere near nokia maps quality.
Ok Navifree is free and route 666 is free and ZANavi and Outdoor Navigation and plenty of apps are free just type in google play "offline navigation" and filter the results with free if you want free.
5-cant find that anywhere, please post link.
Go to Google play and search for live wallpapers i know you will say its wallpaper but you can make them a screen saver from "Settings>display>Screen display>and check enable wallpaper in lock screen" or simply by using "Screensaver Manager" its an app in the market.
6-nokia n8 e.g. has dlna, tv out and hdmi. how many tv's have wifi or mhl?
not only TVs also Computers and surveillance Cameras and all devices with WIFI you can control them and you can make your phone as a mouse for your computer. MHL is as same as HDMI plus it has charger so its better... look at it in YouTube to understand it well.
7-sadly but im right.
Task killers in Android make the same mission and there are apps like memory boosters.
8-its not ms and its not for all android devices.
Quick office is free in Android but no edit if free only paid, N8 has not edit for office in free too.
and there is a free office editor "Kingsoft Office"
9-I've used android, how would i know about its flaws?
Sorry i can't believe this because i have been nearly a year here in GSMarena and i read all these kind of comments like my friend has Android my sister my neighbor i sold it and bla bla and non of them used Android maybe they try it for a minute in markets
if you have Android you will never look back to Symbian and WP that is for sure
