Awesome.
Will these double zoom lenses be good for macro photography?

Why you Huawei users think that Huawei is threat for Apple when market have clearly shown that Huawei been killing Samsung sales until they got that google ban.

It's good to see that Huawei is trying to push the boundary even further in terms of sheer sensor size and light gathering ability within the phone industry. Assuming that those leaks are accurate, the new sensor will be MASSIVE - it's 93% larger than P30 Pro's IMX600y and 12% than S20 Ultra's already huge HM1 sensor, which can help a ton improve dynamic range and high ISO performance upon its predecessors. Plus, this time around it shouldn't be hard for them to develop the software processing for the sensor since they just need to reuse the same algorithms that they first used on Mate 30 Pro then tune it slightly to better utilise the sensor's full capability. We can expect it to have better colour accuracy (could be due to better auto WB algorithms, more light information available to calculate the amount of green in the image, or both) and details, too..
I don't expect it to have drastically improved video performance, however, since Huawei tends to keep the bitrate a bit low for lower resolution & framerate settings, presumably to reduce file sizes. But hopefully the situation will change when Mate 40 series comes out.

"Hexadeca Bayer"
What a misleading name the leakers used to describe the sensor. If the sensor has quad CFA and only achieves 16-1 pixel merging through software binning, then "Hexadeca" is an utterly inaccurate way of represent its hardware specification. And since Bayer filter only refers to mosaic pattern using RGGB colour filters, the term shouldn't be used if it uses yellow pixels instead of green.

No 3.25MP mode.
It is for night 1080p videos.
If 8MP is not enough, why would someone use 3MP?

So.... It was not about spying the "American citizens". It was about offering better technology and it was killing iPhone sales.
I ordered the S20 but after reading about the sensor size here.... It's huge.
Too bad that it comes without Google services.

Really good sensors, I hope the phone's overall image quality would live up to its hype.
