Definitely my next phone. my Motorola One Zoom is a pretty nice device but there is some slight delay in app opening time since it's just SD675 (but no lag or stutters).
I'm pretty sure the next Moto phone is a beast. They have improved in the camera department A LOT.

bot!, 09 Mar 2020who cares) 99% of the pictures taken are food and selfies) Then why do smartphone manufacturers keep bumping up the MP count? That's how you know for certain that they're not innovating anymore because it's all about the numbers game now; more MP, more cameras, more RAM, more GHz, more resolution, more screen real estate, etc. It won't be long before the entire smartphone industry collapses in on itself under its own weight.

The HM1 was the custom sensor for Galaxy S20 Ultra with nona Bayer.

If i may ask though, why are you so obsessed with OIS? I've noticed your comments tend to revolve around OIS, and then you also added OIS to your username, so you're clearly into it.

The reason why people think daylight image improvements have stopped is because you see photos in fit-to-screen ratios, where you can't actually judge the difference in detail preservation. It's when you pixel peep (1:1 magnification), is when you start noticing the differences.
The majority of us take photos in daytime, hence my priority will be best daylight photography, with highest possible resolved detail capture, over low-light which we use less often. Besides, night modes do a pretty amazing job these days.
Last but not least, yes megapixels do indeed matter for detail retention. Just like you can't put 8MP worth of detail in a 2MP image (irregardless of other attributes), you can't put 27MP worth of detail in a 12MP image either. The maximum achievable detail will always be limited by the megapixel barrier.
That said, the megapixels alone don't determine the result. Other factors play important roles too. Just like a 12MP image from a S7 & a 12MP image from S20 aren't equivalent, due to these other factors.
If you're still not convinced, then just go and read the Mi Note 10 review & also the S20 Ultra Camera comparison article. You'll understand the advantages of more megapixels over more binning.

Even my iPhone 5s takes good photo at daylight. Now let’s talk about megapixels counting what you said.. my question is that do you still believe in more megapixel equals to more details theory in 2020 ?

Meanwhile, the HMX (X for Xiaomi) is a exclusive sensor, which they probably can't sell to third-parties.
Personally, I'd prefer Quad-Bayer over Nona-Bayer any day of the weak. 27MP worth of resolved detail is far more useful than the archaic 12MP images with slightly better low-light results. If you compare the Mi Note 10 with S20 Ultra, then the Ultra looks disappointing in most scenarios.

If they use 9 in 1 pixel merging technology then 108mp is best Low Light performs. If they use 4 in 1 pixel technology then good bye .
