AnonD-8763, 03 May 2012now, i took my time 2 read all this coment. An here is my v... more1. Might be true,
2. I dont get it
3. Megafalse, almost all new phone operating sytems surpass the outdated symbian(even symbian^3 or wahtever), on which they had few attemts to reorganize the whole code, and implement support for the newest tech. It proved to be too expensive, and sloppy, they started new project from scratch (maemo) rebranded it to meego. Ultimately they went for windows phone 7.
4. True
5. True, some even way ahead of their time.
6. They still rule the mid range segment.
7. False ARM is not Nokia property, it is standalone company in England
8. Phones cant kill market segments, platforms do, and there is hardly any platform in near future that can compete with android or ios.
9. i dont get it with the spear parts thing maybe it is nigeria relevant.

I have been with Nokia for many years and it is like the turtle and rabbit race. Nokia was so far away and slept to much. But now it is awake and will show others what the cellphone business is about.

AnonD-27765, 03 May 2012Do you even know how to analyze that table? Okay, I'll give... morecan i ask you what is profit?
from your source
More concerning is the decline in the firm's profit margins — despite revenues only falling by around 35 percent, the company's net income after tax fell by 70 percent year-on-year. While """""this is better news than a loss""""", HTC will still hope to return to the booming profits of last year — will the One series prove to be the success it needs?
still a profit not a loss, you said htc had a loss wheres the link?

Look at them now. No matter what FACTS and EVIDENCE you give them, it will never be enough. They have a distorted sense of reality, much like the other herd on the other side of the fence.

Even if Nokia Anna/Belle/Carla/Diana is dead in the water, still it has a d4rn good camera, excellent I/O in ONE device, to sample:
Tried your voice dial, voice command, search and Maps / GPS with your Android device OFFLINE?
A good camera, excellent I/O in ONE device, to sample:
1.) NFC;
2.) HDMI;
3.) 3.5″ output jack with AV out;
4.) DLNA through WIFI a/b/g/n;
5.) At least one (1) noise cancelling microphone;
6.) Beyond run-of-the-mill speakers, after all Nokia has Dolby HD;
7.) Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP;
8.) FM transmitter & receiver;
9.) Excellent AMOLED 4″ screen;
10.) micro USB 2.0 chargeable port that supports USB On-The-Go (plug in any USB device, and the device will read/write/recognize it, e.g., USB flash drives).
11.) Xenon flash that is around 2x brighter than the ones in Nokia N8;
12.) LED video light for capturing video in low light or in total darkness.
13.) Offline GPS;
14.) WiFi Direct;
15.) Customize-able Wallpaper;
16.) Offline Voice Command and Recognition;
and finally…
17.) A “SMARTPHONE” that doesn’t go duhhh when it is offline.
Did we mention 41MP sensor with loss-less 3x digital zoom and the best 5MP pictures you’d ever get?
And yes, I do use all of these features, and more.
To each his own.
Show me a device that can do all of these. ;-)
