Contradicts gsmarena information here. In review it says it throttle quite alot and got very hot on load, but here says it does not experienced any overheating.

Futureproofing are only for fools who think their device still has good specs and value for several years to come, then realize that their handset is already way behind the trend.

        Wake up, bruh

"Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G video teardown gives us a look at cool internals"

I'm sorry but I have to disagree, nothing about this phone's internals is cool - Samsung being Samsung making the phone difficult to repair or take apart with low repairability score. Oh and that turquoise colored board makes it look like a cheap toy, like it or not, Apple has the coolest looking internals on the market.

You know they've applied too much adhesive to the battery when it needs a heat gun to be removed.

Not even close to being worth 1400 bucks. Totally overpriced.

Why when you can for the same price get s20 ultra 5g with better price. And 5g even when it's useless now it will be good future proof because most people doesn't change their phones every year.

Rubbish, overpriced handset. Even Zack in the video has complained of the S20 Ultra a few times.

                  1. Battery is very tightly glued (non-user replacable). If the battery gets damaged, the whole front panel has to be replaced. Even greedy Apple still uses pull tabs in their iPhone 11 Pro Max.

                  2. Periscope camera is not that unique to the P30 Pro. Listen to Zack saying about it and is just a marketing trick. 100x zoom is a gimmick.

                  3. 5G is mandatory, and even the US (which is a developed country) only has mmWave 5G in few major cities. 5G is just not ready yet. And Zack said that this just increases the price of the handset.

Also listen to Zack saying about the price-performance ratio of the S20 Ultra.

Long-story short, the S20 and S20+ still makes more sense. S20 Ultra, as I've repeatedly said, is just some expensive rubbish that only lasts for 2 years and adds unnecessary features. Better stick to an iPhone 11 Pro because 5G is not around yet. Or better, cheaper Chinese OEMs like Mi 10 and older P30 Pro (if you like photography).

                  Ouch, Samsung.

Important bit of info there that the G988N does not have mmWave antennas. Yes they're useless to begin with, but currently the info on the S20 Ultra 5G page here on GSMArena does not highlight this fact. Only info for the G988U American model is available. Nothing for the G988W, G9880, G988B or G988N. So I'll take this opportunity to ask GSMArena to address this problem (detail which bands are available to which models) so people who seek to save and buy an unlocked model online do not get misled.
