With google you get its unlimited space(it's cheap) on drive, photos, gmail, etc.with google servers providing faster download and upload speeds + get benefits of using same account on android too.
With office you get office 365, ofc, but outlook is not polished as gmail is, on top you don't get mailtrack support too.

The G Suite isn't even comparable to LibreOffice in terms of functionality or reliability, let alone MS Office. I'm not entirely sure how this 2G+ monthly users milestone was reached. Oh wait, I do. Gmail. And Drive also. With all the downloads hosted on Drive, it's easy to claim many multiple users.

Well I was forced to use Gmail to set up my Android device, but I don't use their service. Am I being counted in then?

I only use Gmail, maps and calender, and got rid of everything else from them. I'm trying to get away from the over reliance of google. I think maps and gmail will remian, but I will switch my main email to something else. It's not good to have everything with one company especially google. If one day they delete your account for some unkown reason, then what?

1.99 billion of those 2 billions are Android users logging on to their phones.
Google suite is nice, has a few really neat forms abilities but overall it's no Office 365.

Office 365 Home is still THE BEST. $60 per year for 6 people is really great value.
This number is coming from Android user for real. If someday Huawei's platform takes the spot, people will only choose maps and youtube.
But you know.. nothing lasts. Remember the day MySpace was a hit? Yup, YouTube might be byebye too and replaced by other platforms.

Rubbish. Microsoft's alternative is still more reliable overall. Comes with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint too. No need to pay for premium version for those.

Many of those imposed by Google. If tomorow people can choose, Google will deliver just a few: Gmaps/Waze, Gmail, YouTube and Google photos. The rest can go away.
