For people still complaining about their 1+ slow updates. That's clearly your issue. I have the March security patch already thanks to the updater (approved by the 1+ community before anyone complains about that).

Anyways, after using the Mi 5 for 2 years I've moved to iPhone XR because of the quick OS updates Apple gives and also for the video capabilities. I would love to try a Xiaomi phone again but I've noticed that most tech YouTubers praise the Oxygen OS a lot so kinda confused. I may not be getting a new for another 3/4 years but I love reading about new phones. Has MIUI changed a lot in the two years I've not been using? And which phone do you prefer?

I'm not su... moreNope, You are wrong Oneplus updates are worse now they provide late bug fixes and security patch.I am a OnePlus 6 user even after so many months OnePlus 6 android 10 is buggy if you don't believe me just visit OnePlus forum. I think with so many phones they are struggling to provide fast and quality update.

          Overall oneplus is a good phone. But a camera color accuracy is lacking. Eg. I was taking notes with my cam. The screen projector was casted on a white screen. It turned out blue while other people phonecams like oppo which are lower end got white.

          I should have bought cheaper phones instead if that was the case.....

I've had my 7 Pro since June and have never waited more than 3 weeks for a security patch (August was actually ahead of Google). OnePlus have been consistent with their updates - which is why we're now on Beta 10. Beta 1 was released in September. So we've had 10 Beta updates in 6 months which include the most recent security patches as and when they're available.
                On another note, seriously these Betas need to end. Just release the final build.

                  They should fix this echo during a call in the first place. The topic is there in their support forum and no one fixes anything.

I'm not su... moreOnePlus is bad a security updates, they gave me November patch by the end of December, and January patch by the end of February, we'll be getting this one by the end of March probably, so they're almost 2 months late every time, I received Android 10 fast but security patch is another story.
                    You're talking about Mi 5, that phone is from 2016, I don't think your experience applies to recent Xiaomi phones, did you own a Mi 9 or Redmi K20 Pro/Mi 9T Pro?

                            I love OnePlus consistently gives quick updates. I'm not sure if Xiaomi can match OnePlus in providing updates. I had the Xiaomi Mi5 and I was happy with the updates from Xiaomi but I think OnePlus is still better.
