Nothing much to shout about it beside all the promised software gimmicks...No 12MP to compete against Sony Xperia S. In fact not even a really significant hardware advantages against the HTC One X. Well I guess the next move will be Sony with the soon to launch LT29i "Hayabusa". Although rumored to be without a quad-core, I don't see it losing much as Sony will surely put in some significant hardware advantages (already rumored to improve the current 12MP camera)

this is what we expect from samsung. an improve in display+ improve in processor +and most important one:improve in battery . its a fantastic smartphone...

Sony has so much better design, i expected so much more out of galaxy s3, I even wanted to postpone buying sony xperia s because of this phone, but now i don't regret buying it. It has the best design among all others which all look alike, sony made it different and unique, and along the design it has the best composition of characteristics ! Samsung really disapointed with this model...

Hehe, funny to see so many Galaxy SII/HTC One X/iPhone 4S/Xperia S owners comforting themselves by spitting (sh***ing) on Galaxy SIII :)
Anyway, IMHO, the SII is quite decent and is a more complete/well rounded device than it's supposed-to-be biggest rival, HTC One X.
Design... well, classic and quite decent, I like it. For example, iPhone 4S; looks like a glorified, shiny and expensive... brick :/
Rounded edges may not look extremely visually appealing and classy but I really like a phone with them: I find that rounded edges help reduce the bulges that show up when you're carrying the phone in the front pocket of the trousers.

Can anyone point out ONE friggin outstanding feature of this phone?
What a major letdown Samsung!!. The S2 was a reigning leader for the year ahead,but the S3 is already behind the competition before launch
Adios Samsung.. u should have called this S2.5 or S2 plus and saved ur reputation.
HTC and Sony will rule 2012-2013 for sure

i was lookin d live event online and after seein it em happy 2 c d new beast s3 though i em disappointed wid only 8mp cam again sud ve given 12mp atleast also d design doesnt llok dat gud i still like d design of s2 n d outstanding sound quality of s2.waitin 4 s3 2 launch in ind n 2 check d sound quality of it i hope it wont disappoint me like sony xperia s where derz no loudness in it...over all itz d better version of s2.cheers.

check out the unpacked features of the S3 (app on andriod play store).
If will maintaing a bright screen when you look at it..
Direct call: it knows when you want to talke if your messaging and want to call instead , simply lift your phone to your ear and it will dial your friend automatically....
ok that is a holy neat feature... thats inovetive... unless someoen mkes a app for your phone to do that... but serously nice.

Specs are awesome except for the display. When releasing such a flagship device why downgrade the display. Should have had the Super Amoled Plus or atleast Super Amoled with PenTile matrix. Nevertheless, Exynos 4212 will rock and a 2100mAh battery will surely get it going.
Waiting for my contract to get over to move to this device ;)

Design is like Nokia PureView but oter geometrical scale. Weird?!?!
Maybe Samsung is now imaginationless.
I'm not glad to say but Nokia seems to be one step forward in design.
