I would like a 4000mAh battery minimum but the same measurements as the Galaxy S8. I've had a bad experience with a Galaxy A50 which made me switch to the Redmi. Now I'm using my old S8 again with a new battery. Nokia could be possible but they are also chinese now. I don't really want to give Realme a chance, even their name is a ripoff of Redmi xD. It would be ideal if Xiaomi stopped making their Android UI as restrictive as iOS. I don't want to create more e-waste so I hope Xiaomi fixes these flaws.
Without the setting "turn on lockscreen for notifications" or something like that I often wouldn't even receive messages with sound. I bought the phone like 1.5 or 2 months ago, no idea how that issue still exists...

So, after Note 8, what is your sugestion for the next phone or brand in that price range, that does not have that many problems. What about those Realme phones, like Realme 5 Pro. But I must say, for me and on the Note 8, notifications arrive regulary, (Gmail, WhatsApp, Viber..). Wi-fi works good (on 2.4 also on 5ghz). I had one problem with Viber app lasy year, after MIUI update, the sound from my microphone stops working, but only in Viber app, regular calls works, WhatsApp, also, so i found solution, for that, but it seems it was something with MIUI 11 (x.x.) version. Or, what about those new Nokias with stock software, or Motorola phones, in similar price range like it was Note 8 (it seems, this Note 9 Pro is also in same price range, about 250 euros).

Q, 17 Mar 2020What trouble? For me, battery life is good, screen for IPS ... moreOh the auto brightness has driven me crazy. That alone was pretty bad but then Google Notes Reminders didn't work, didn't notify with sound. Did everything in the setting but no dice. Outlook stopped pushing notifications aswell. Battery is excelent but only because every push service in the background is being terminated. Newest issue I came across is bluetooth killing wifi speeds completely even though I'm on 5ghz wifi...
I've also tried nearly every custom ROM there is and nothing fixed the auto brightness or bluetooth. I can say that build quality is better than the Galaxy A50 for example but everything else is simply not working properly. Even their own Mi community app is incapable of pushing notifications but it works on a Samsung phone LOL.

For me, battery life is good, screen for IPS and sush a low price, good enough (also bright), back camera is usable, with Gcam in low light, better. MIUI is good software, but yea, first thing is to set recomandation (in security, music, file manager, downloads) to OFF, also to set region to one of the EU countrys (i am anyway there). The worst problem with Xiaomi phones is auto brightness sensor is to agrresive so, only solution is to turn off auto brightness. Then again, yes, this Note 9 Pro is cheap (like it was Note 8 i payed 130 euros for brand new back in november 2019), but i think those dimensions and screen are to much for one hand use, so no thanks, Galaxy S20 is way better, yes it fost more, but at least have more compacr size, and screen that is 3 classes above screen in Redmi (Xiaomi cheaper) phones. Only good screen in Is in Mi9 Lite, Mi9T/Pro (K20 series), and in their flagships, rest.. You get what you pay for, but at least is not all plastic (like A51/71), is not some MtK or worse Exynos processor.

This is how it went. The deal was 100 percent claimed within seconds of sale and I had to join the waitlist. After being in the waitlist for like 15 minutes, I got to add the phone in my cart and then checked out. Xiaomi flash sales are marketing tactics to generate hype.

Though it's good choice, people should opt for Realme X2. Its great choice in my opinion at 14999.

I had a lot of problems with my Ocean blue Note 8 Pro so I returned it and got this instead. Too bad, the Note 8 Pro build quality is much, much better than A71 and the color was extremely beautiful.

Redmi K20 is available at 19999 in upcoming sales. Realme X2 Pro will be absolute value for money at the price tag of SAMSUNG A71. Even if One Plus 7T at 31-32K will be great deal.
