Apple's apps and iPadOS itself will benefit from the precision and gestures enabled by the trackpad.

Apple has beaten everyone again.
This table + keyboard combo is brilliant. Too bad no one thought of it before.
Microsoft & Google need to up their game.

Wow this is REALLY cool! I’ve been contemplating on buying a personal laptop but I don’t really see the point of it now... I’m using my iPad mini for everything I do and I don’t seem to be missing anything other than playback from multiple audio sources at once.
I’m so tempted to go for the iPad Pro instead, only thing I need it to do is extend to a display instead of mirroring and I’m sold.

$299/349 for the new Magic Keyboard with trackpad, on top of $799-999 depending on the size for the iPad itself with the base 128 GB of storage - plus the $129 pencil because that's the whole point of a device like this one.

We're in Macbook Pro territory for a device that's less useful than a full-fledge laptop because of its OS, at the very least it's not yet a full desktop replacement.

While I absolutely love my iPad, that's kind of insane.
