nokian, 06 May 2012it seems you dont know how much galaxy ace actually lags...... moreMate, you are incredible (sarcasem intended) Dont get me wrong but let me list the BLUNDERS you did.

1 - you have compared 800 mhz CPU (ace) with a 1.4 Ghz CPU (710)
2 - 278 mb RAM (ace) vs 512 Mb (710)
3 - 200 adreno(ace) vs 205 Adreno (710) GPUs

-Let me ask you something, is Fruit ninja the OFFICIAL feature/app of either of these phones? - NO
-Is that a BENCHMARKING tool to verify? - NO
-Did the devs of fruit ninja designed the game specifically for either of the phones(be it Ace or Lumia 710)? was the game optimised for any of these phones ? - NO

So what are you presenting with this lame comparison?

If you have certain unliking towards Ace, please come up with some reasonable comments with FACTS.

Anonymous, 07 May 2012What you Symbian fanboys don't get? Nokia is trying to kill... moreIn case you do not know, Nokia still will release several version of Symbian updates before finally killing it at few more years time.
By that time it is still not too late for us to switch to other platform. Which ever platform that is the best with the right hardware.

But who knows what will happen?
Maybe next year Nokia realised that it is a utter mistake to kill Symbian and decided to continue on it?

It,s not about playing games. or multitasking. have u ever used it??? don,t lie without using it. I Have used it,so I know it. Now i swapped it with SE live with walkman, and i am happy. I like Android, but Galaxy Ace really sucks.
Nokia N9 is a copy of Gslate android?? hahaha. lolz, N9 was rumoured long times ago, when N8 was released. G slate Andro tab copy the ideas.
And According to ur ideas, i can complain, I can tell Nokia 7650 was the first smartphone to have camera with symbian OS. that means all OEMs today having camera in their smartphones is copy of Nokia????????????????????????
Nokia keep name name like belle that means it, copy of android??? Then why did Android put numbers like Nokia?? 2.2, 2.3??? Why?? Why??
you are a craapy troller, with silly arguments.

Nokia is advertising ... moreSo I can manufacture a "clotheshanger phone" with a toasted cheese sandwich OS, advertise it as a "clotheshanger phone" and it's quality can only be measured by its ability to safely hang my garments, and all other features can be disregarded? I think this is a fair analogy, considering Symbian does in fact have all the functionality of a cheese toastie.

I must admit, I lost pretty much all respect for Nokia when they put MeeGo on the backburner BUUUTTT, This pureview has me interested. I want to see what it is capable of with it's Night photos. I know Nokia has AWESOME Carl Zeiss cameras and no phone company can match them in that area so I'm keeping an eye on this one.

Anonymous, 07 May 2012""First of all, to make a statement like that for... moreWe see a product as it is advertised. Nokia is advertising it as a "camera phone" and it's primary feature or highlight is it's camera.

Speaking of primary features the list is as follows:

                            1. Call
                            2. Texting
                            3. Camera
                            4. Other stuff

Calling and texting is obvious even for a cheapest phone so, automatically, camera becomes the primary feature of a phone because calling and texting is a must have.

But a car's primary function is to drive. A smartphone's primary function is not to take photos. I think a more accurate analogy would have been "But aside from the good sound system, this car has nothing to offer."

After seeing what Samsung have to offer in Galaxy S3, i have decided Nokia PureView will be my next phone.

I know Nokia is still stuck at Single Core.
But belle really run smooth on my N8 which is only 680 MHZ.
Hence i think PureView should be even better cause it is 1.3 GHZ.

I have compare the photos quality taken by my N8 with Iphone 4S and Galaxy S2 and few others model, but non of them can even come close especially photos taken at night.

One thing i hope Nokia can improve is the screen resolution. Having 360 x 640 pixels resolution in 4 inches is really something not easy to accept.

OS wise, i have a Galaxy Tab.
I felt that Belle is actually more user friendly.
One thing i don't understand is why most of the time i cannot find a "close" button in Android?
When i have to close a browser for instance, i have to press the back button many times. Else the next time i on the browser again, it will hang and close the browser for me. I have to open it again.
This is not happening to my N8 running in Belle.

Lacks of apps has never been an issue to me.
At least i find all i needed in Nokia App store.

let's go thruw thim one by one

1- the phone that apple copied as you where saying doesn't look like the iPhone it has a qwerty keyboard
and it's released date is in Dec 2007
not Feb 2007 which is after the iPhone and you can check here
                                  http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_f700-1849.php

                                  2-hhhhhhhhh
at that time bb where selling 3 phones per year
it was 2005 they where just starting believe me Nokia couldn't known about them that time
WTF at that time rim had only ((9 phones)) in the market

3- the first touch screen by Nokia was 3.5 inch (7700)http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_7700-570.php

4-the first internal memory was the n91's 4\8GB
                                  http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n91-1154.php

5-yes there where no physical home-button but it was there (it was not (swipe ui) ) and that's what is n9 all about (swipe ui) (swipe ui)

6-first they call it Symbian 3
then when people start to care about the name they name it

7- again they don't look they same and by the way there is less than 2 month between the tow of them so they cant copied it

8- yes n8 was laggy at first (now it's not at all)
                                  but this is not n8

9- yes ace is full of lag even if you compare it to n8

AnonD-27770, 07 May 2012First time I saw Samsung S III, the design reminded me of t... more"But aside of the camera, this phone has nothing to offer compared to Android, iOS, and WP."

First of all, to make a statement like that for Nokia 808 PureView, its like saying "But aside of the comfortable drive, this car has nothing to offer" for a Toyota Corolla. Research a bit about point & shoot cameras and entry level DSLRs and try to find something as close as 808 pureview, the optics it packs and the quality it offers and then see the price tag. I can assure you that it would be higher than that of this phone.

                                        Now coming to other issues:
                                        - Nokia Belle FP1 is buttery smooth and has a decent UI with 6 home-screens.

                                        - It also has a decent amount of apps around 100,000. And most of them are pretty useful. (HD games are lacking though)

                                        - Web browsing experience is also decent enough if not at par with Android. And it's going to get better with Belle FP2 and Carla updates.

                                        - Symbian stands a strong chance, only if Nokia pushes it to the limits. It's such a lovely OS that has been handling nokia's exotic innovations since it's inception. It doesn't need lots of cores and it is the only OS that is capable of full HD recording on a single core. FM transmitter and Xenon flash? Have you seen them on any other OS? Except MeeGo.

                                        - And according to some sources the ARM11 processor that 808 PureView packs is a dual core one which is going to be unlocked with Donna update. There were few N-series phones that packed a dual core ARM11 module when nobody even thought about it. (But this is just a rumor. Let's hope for the best.)
