I faced a lot of issues while streaming then I read somewhere that PureVPN is offering $0.99 refundable trial for 7 days. I used it and find it helpful.

In very bad days we must live now! Netflix and YouTUBE "must" limit streaming quality, and Eporner or other tube websites don't :)

Well nowdays is everybody at home.
Even i spend 60 euros on steam to buy Doom Eternal and spending my time there.
Just because we have to force close all our stores in Slovakia and czech repubic due to corona crisis.

now in france youtube 720p in auto mode (can chose 4k option manually), amazon still uhd netflix also uhd at 15.25 Mbps

It'd rather they take these measures and I can keep a stable data connection than everyone's internet crashing every day.

I use youtube vanced, i know it's not acceptable by google, but since it does not show ads it saves a lot of data and battery in my phone! ads are a headache and consumes traffic and battery, so i'm ready for my quarantine!

They could try changing auto quality settings to SD instead.
Still the internet traffic will never be the same as before, even after end of isolation.
It also won't change the size of 40GB UHD torrent files downloaded instead. Not much of solution.

Good time to have an actual disk for movies. 4K all the time. Love it!

Lol, all the kids on here complaining. If lower quality Netflix is the worst that happens you'll be doing well. Just grow up and think of others for a change.

Too many people never look at the bigger picture. The spike in streaming will only clog servers and you'll have a bad experience. Choose 1080p with buffering or smooth 720p. Lower quality means more people can join the service without messing it up for everybody. We are in an unsavoury situation and we all need to make sacrifices

ironically, GSmarena is clogged, im getting timeouts.
Why limit streaming quality, it's not like everyone going to stream videos all the time. I guess, they just want to make sure that who work at home gets reliable internet.

Anonymous, 20 Mar 2020You guys complaining is weird. The whole world is in emerge... moreThats arguable. Streaming services make big money off users who in return, expect high quality streaming. The better option is to cut bills down to compensate financial stress and justify the quality reduction. These companies the the very few who actually benefit from a crisis like this.

REMOVE ADS on all services, that is another 25% of traffic

George95, 20 Mar 2020Sure no problem with that, but you are reducing the quality... moreyes , thats the point youtube or amazon dosnt ask more money for 4k video . netflix does

Will this also apply to the UK even though we no longer in the EU?
