I'm not sure if Qualcomm doesn't know how to integrate the modem into their chip or they just want to force their customers to buy two chips instead of one.

It was confirmed by GCam app code discovered by one of XDA Developers member, that Pixel 5 & 5 XL will also launch with Snapdragon 765 instead of 865....

                  It's similar to trend of downsizing cars engines & total of cylinder pistons to be honest in favor smaller engine with turbos / supercharger / electrification assist.

                    NO, this is not good. A high-end device should use the best CPU, and at least 90 Hz display.
