Mediateksux, 24 Mar 2020Kirin 980 is much better than 845. It even beats 855 in 3dm... moreHuawei advanced their competition a little bit, and was the first to use ARM's Cortex A76 cores in 2018, which is very unfair for it to get compared to the Snapdragon 845, which only uses the A75.
Obviously CPU performance goes to Kirin 980, but graphics wise, they are mostly even. Well, the true competitor of that Kirin is the Snapdragon 855, and that one completely blows it out of the water.
Kirin 990 is more of a competitor to Snapdragon 855 Plus, as the Kirin competitor for Snapdragon 865 is yet to be announced.

What else can be the reason for a 4200mAh battery on a normal smartphone to give off a 121h endurance rating?
Samsung's 5000mAh battery can't even go beyond 90h, let alone reach 100h mark.
Obviously because there's no GMS running in the background constantly, Huawei could get the battery to be less hogged by software as much as they could, which brought these crunching numbers.

The 765G has dual A76 cores compared to the Kirin 820 with quad A76 cores. Obviously the 820 would fare better. This chip should rival the 855 instead.

Early snapdragon 765 phones are way expensive than their kirin counterpart. Only google mobile services can save them now.

That's good and all, but Kirin 810, not 820, is the direct rival of the SD765G. But honestly, I don't trust AnTuTu scores. As far as Geekbench is concerned, both K810 and SD765G are pretty much tied.

Not gonna be hard to have 120Hz on this phone, especially without GMS bogging down the SoC.
Perhaps this could match up to the performance of Apple A12 Bionic if the same level of software and hardware optimizations are done.
Not a Huawei fan, but I'd trust them more than Samsung to beat Qualcomm in the game, and truly put a great pressure on them to work even better than they can.
