InsanelyGreat, 08 May 2012Wow, that's so cool. When summer's here, I'll be able to te... moreYou do realize that you cant actuall use the phone under water right? As a matter of fact, it will be difficult to use when the screen is wet or your hands are too wet. This is regardless of water proof specs.
This is because of the way a capacitive touch screen works, it uses an electric current to detect finder placement. And because water conducts electicity the phone will see a difficult time pin pointing your finger. If the entire screen is covered in water then when you touch it the electric disturbance will be detected in random places on the screen. Which is why if you have ever seen a youtube video of a water proof phone being dipped in water, the screen looks like it's freaking out. Because it is detecting the electric disturbance in different places all at once.
So if you buy this phone and go in the water you better lock the screen or it might call random people lol
so dont get too excited about using it while scooba diving lol sorry :/

True, QWERTY touchphones may not sell as much as those without it, but there is still market. I bought my Xperia Pro recently, and (fortunately for my wallet) I don't see any worthy replacement in the future among all brands.

The second device (think Rise) looks like SGS Captivate. Just the size is different but the specs are almost same too (1 Gig processor 512 Ram etc). That's not good.

But interesting point here is - Samsung says SGS captivate can't run ICS & its touch wiz 4.0 but this Rise with same H/W specs is able to get ICS. Why can't Samsung make some modifications and give out ICS (huh!)?
