Nick.B, 25 Mar 2020You are missing the part that Mi Note 10 does not exist in ... moreagain. Xiaomi does not have a global warranty. Heck even Samsung doesn't. You can't buy a cheaper phone from outside and expect it to be repaired in your country under warranty. if you had bought a mi note 10 from EU, you could have a warranty anywhere as per EU norms. AFAIR, china does not come under EU norms, so they are not liable to repair your device. Did you even check if it has a global warranty while buying the phone? Just because you bought a global version (it is not installed by manufacturer, it is installed by reseller, that is reason xiaomi stopped doing bootloader unlocks in wholesale) does not mean you are eligible for a warranty

And mine is Mi Note 10 which is global version.
Tell me 1 reason CN Xiaomi to refuse to repair global version of mi note 10?
In my country in Europe we have official Xiaomi repair service, they checked my imei, and regardless it is global version AND AVAILABLE IN MY COUNTRY they refused warranty only because IMEI comes from CN.

      So what it will be?

CN phone which is global version. Bought from CN obviously to be used outside CN, otherwise would get the cheaper cc9 pro for CN, and nobody will repair it. That's a consumer satisfaction there.

They need to have different software for global and chinese ROMs so they can't be held accountable if someone purchases stuff from china and expect global warranty on it. Heck even appl started global warranty in 2017 in india

Nick.B, 25 Mar 2020Mine is from CN, and used it in Europe. Therefore warranty ... moreChinese Warranty only applies to phones sold in China (by authorized Chinese seller) and used in China. Xiaomi did the right thing to refuse your package because Xiaomi's Chinese Warranty is not applicable to you. You are not in any position to enjoy Chinese Warranty. If you are based in Germany, you should buy your phones from Authorized German sellers, assuming Xiaomi has officially made that model available to your country. If Xiaomi has not made that model officially available in your country, then your phone is not covered by any Xiaomi warranty.

Nick.B, 25 Mar 2020Mine is from CN, and used it in Europe. Therefore warranty ... moreThats exactly the case here too. Apart from the official site, only authorized resellers do warranty.

Mediatek sux, 25 Mar 2020They repair stuff just fine here in india. Mine is from CN, and used it in Europe. Therefore warranty only in CN. Because it is not from the official Xiaomi website they refuse repair and play games with the dhl package clearance.
But who in the World said manufacturer warranty of a device is valid only if you buy it off the official website? That's ... not professional.

One of the best posts I've seen from a company during this awful time. The only thing large companies should be focussed on or investing in at this time, is the eradication of this virus and the protection of the world's population. Yes that's right, your CUSTOMERS. Who are you going to sell your products and services to, if a large percentage of your customer base dies? Well done Xiaomi!

Xiaomi's production capacity for Mi 10 Pro should pick up in April. It would be good if both Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 are made available at the same time to Indian buyers when the sale is re-scheduled for April.
