if you calculate the value ofcourse xperia 1 ii will have better value. as ex-xperia 1 user (now using google pixel) the display absolutely better for watching movies even better than my google pixel. people who complain either their eyes can't notice or appreciate color and sharpness or just other fanboy brands

Other than sequential scores (don't matter in real life), my P30 with ufs 2.1 has better scores.

[deleted post]Hold your horses, Shanti boy. Even if Sony using isocell sensors, doesnt mean its bad if its got the software right. The UWA on Xperia 1 is one of the best quality i can say, with isocell. This is simply Sony's way to get more profit, normal bussiness. Defending them so much, eh?
Samsung acknowledge Sony Exmor are superior in other FL, thats why other company & Samsung itself using it. Except their best sensor yet, HM1, which using in S20 Ultra (but not that great).
And about battery life, i've been using tons of Xperia flagship way before you born, son. Sony simply late in the game on that regards. Got Z1 battery worn out just after 2 years before replacing it (not only me, tons of complain in Sony forum). Using Huawei with Supercharge + big battery life for about 4 years now, i couldnt say the same. Even after 3 years, battery life just like day 1 (maybe just marginal). So my experience beyond your theory.

If Sony doesn't want my Xperia 5 to be my last sony phone, then they better bring some improvements on my phone as well, especially night mode!

really excited with this one and hope they can make it right in all department. people want to buy a great product and knew that the product is great but if they dont have the money they cant have it.really tired see this type of people who want a great product but dont want to pay the price.Dont buy above your paygrade as simpel as that.

I like how exaggerated claims of Sony Image Sensors being superior are being made by people with absolutely no proof of the same. While it's possible that the Sony sensors are a hair better than their Samsung versions, the different is so minor that in all but a few instances you would even notice it, and in all those cases it would be the Exynos vs Snapdragon flagships that may have caused the difference. Even in those, some instances of Snapdragon being better and some Exynos.
Also, like Sony fanboys are claiming, if Sony phones are better in all regards, people would be buying those instead of Samsung, Xiaomi, iPhones or Huawei, but they aren't. Sony specs seem great on paper, but the customer experience and sales figures says a completely different story.

As long as the main camera utilizes Sony's own sensor, that should be alright. As for the telephoto camera, definitely not the first time I see the module sourced from Samsung. The Nokia 7 plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco's telephoto camera was sourced from Samsung.
Nevertheless, really cannot wait for the Xperia 1 ii (and also the midrange Xperia 10 ii) to go on sale.

well, from my personal experience, all my samsung devices got good enough endurance, but in less than 6 months they all got battery related problems such device slow recharging even recharging process stopped/not charging..
then in second year (last quarter in 2nd year) you will notice battery endurance degrading although im only charging all my samsung once a day or once for 1day and half before charging again..

It's a third party tech, supposedly able to maintain the charging and depleting condition so the battery will last longer.
while actual proof of Qnovo longetivity still debatable (the claim is 15% better),
regarding physical battery life, its still on better direction that ultra fast charging that causing faster degradation on battery life.
I have xiaomi Redmi Note 5 ai where the phone definitely hotter during charging with Fast charging 3 compared to fast charging 2. Not to mention its barely 2 years of use and i already have some occasional battery problem.
