Anonymous, 29 Mar 2020Yes it is not a necessity at all. Unless if you are gaming,... moreDon't get me wrong, I am not against having phone evolving and many flagship having high refresh rate, but I think this is stupid that peoples complain that not ALL phones have this.

I mean, most phone don't have 3D facial unlock which is way safer than any other unlocking method, now that Qualcomm released ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and they are proven way more secure, not a single smartphone except maybe the Galaxy Note 20 plan on having it.

Those two are way more important than higher refresh rate yet and cheaper but peoples don't complain about that...

So yeah...Yay for having higher refresh rate coming on many smartphones, mainly gaming ones, but there is no point complaining that ALL phone don't have that...
Because of its price, the K30 Pro is a flagship killer with an Oled display, and multiple peoples pointed out that high refresh rate on Oled is expensive, so it would have made the K30 Pro goes from one of the only flagship killer to just another flagship...
I'd take lower price over higher refresh rate anyday (well at least until I become finally super rich :D), and flagships killers are a good thing.

AnonD-909757, 27 Mar 2020I am one of those who think over 60 fps on all phone isn't ... moreYes it is not a necessity at all. Unless if you are gaming, higher refresh rate is definitely useless. Watching movies only goes to max of 60fps and most are 30fps.

There's only a slight difference in UI like scrolling and animation. You can live without these for sure. The higher refresh rate is only marketing gimmick. The only advantage is for playing games.

r31ya, 27 Mar 2020I don't need Macro lens but i do need telephoto lens. but ... moreOk good luck cutting the performance in half just for a weak 2x zoom lens.

Ok but how much of that revenue was profit? Nobody cares about the revenue the profit is what matters.

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2020Laughs in 90hz ;)I am one of those who think over 60 fps on all phone isn't a necessity, mostly if it can keep the price of a flagship killer low, but your comment is hilarious so you have my upvote !

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2020It's a no brainer and an easy win for Redmi. They knew bett... moreI would buy this because I rarely use my front camera, so I can prolong the life of that pop up camera... But that full screen display is just fantastic

but telephoto lens equipped Redmi is at $520+, which is a bit pricy to me
i might move to buy RealMe 6 Pro...

It's a no brainer and an easy win for Redmi. They knew better that a very large subset of users out there DOES NOT CARE about a "potentially" easy to break popup front cam because; the whole lot us don't really care too much about selfies anyways. So in the end it's not gonna really break in the shortest time possible.

That in turn gives us a truly notch+punch+hole free screen that makes perfect sense. Paired with good specs + price = profit.
