As long as they are required to do whatever their government tells them to do, and we all know China is a system based on invasive surveillance, authoritarian thought police, and speaking against the establishment is a felony that gets anyone found guilty of it in big trouble, it is only logical to try and protect the world of their abnormal practices, before they happen.
So all Chinese-designed smart devices should be banned around the world. This is called preemptive protection.

Imagine you bought a German car & the German government tell you that you can't use it as a taxi service for Chinese people.
Anyway, China need an TSMC equivalent. In the long run, this will be bad news for Taiwan.
Once China sorted this out, TSMC will be priced out of the market.

It would be an interesting moves if China found the vaccine of the Corona and leave it to Huawei to handle it.
What would the president do to save his country (not citizen).
To me, this moves is kinda look personal perspective, not a business one.
I love the trade wars and technologies exchange, but this kind of dirty tactics is really come from a true coward.

But, anyway, Huawei have always claimed that, as a so-called innovative leading tech company (stealing/cloning doesn't equal innovation), it does not need the US and/or its technologies moving forward, well, it is time for Huawei to man-up and prove to the world what they can do "completely" without the USs backend tech.

Why does US want to still trade with them while also considering them a privacy concern? Doesn't make any sense and companies and countries do trade all the time. Huawei has a lot of communications technology and infrastructure all around the world and does business with thousands of companies, including ones in the US. You obviously don't know a thing about international trade policy or politics so stay out of conversations you know nothing about.

W*F is this communism? Simply speaking, TSMC legally bought products for COMMERCIAL use. That's all, now they are the owner of those machines and are free to use them for the purpose they were bought. How in this world could you dictate me how to use MY ownership as long as I use it as initially intented!? This is getting ridiculous and somebody should stop these US clowns.

All companies in china must provide 100% access to all the technologies and processes they use, and must cooperate with leadership and do what they ask, while never admitting to any of that, ever. So if they require backdoors to be installed, the companies must comply and never admit it, even when faced with proof.

Everybody knows what it is - two evils pointing finger at each other for the same thing they both indulge in. Both are guilty. But majority of people think that the evil you 'know' is better.
As for the 'why not ban Huawei totally or why be willing to renegotiate the business relations if privacy is concerned' argument; everything, every crime, every transgression, every broken law in tech sphere is escapable by throwing money at it. They'll be fined, and then they can resume the business as usual..nobody cares about consumers, except maybe in EU.
Anyway this is becoming more and more political than tech related.
