They have the S series to iphonize and just add an S-pen but they dragged the Note series as well.

With so many people losing their jobs, I doubt this phone will find many takers. A phone that's $800 OTD is not exactly affordable either.

And Now we might really come to know what is the real profit margins on these devices, because Samsung would rather landfill the phones than sell it at a loss.

$330 shaved off and they still are making a profit. Would you look at that...

                      Still selling for $1000?

After using this phone for 3 months now, I wouldn't pay this much for it let alone paying full price for it when I first got it. Most likely my last Samsung I'll ever pay full price. Matter of fact as long as they use their under screen FP I wouldn't ever get another Samsung.

It might be the first signs of the official announcement of the Note 20 then, I think they might have too many Note10+ left and want to sell their stocks before the mandatory price drop because of the newer model.
So maybe they kept the price artificially high and now they only catch up with what should have been the depreciated price before the final drop caused by the Note 20...

One sure thing, based on PriceSpy website :
                          https://pricespy.co.uk/phones-gps/mobile-phones/samsung-galaxy-note-10-plus-sm-n975f-ds-256gb--p5165330/statistics
We can see on the graph that the price after the initial release price dropped (as all normally do) they kept a fairly linear minimum which match the Ebay price, but those are probably from less known selling websites so they need to be more aggressive with their prices to sell enough, it was unchanged until few days before the S20 hit the market where some shops probably dropped the prices in order to sell the maximum Note10+ before they loose too much value...
Then it bounced back up, they probably realized that despite the lower price, most peoples were probably waiting for the S20 and didn't buy that much Note10+, so they simply cranked the price back up.
And just few days ago a fluctuation happened, which may be coherent with the announcement of the Note 20 who is a direct followup of the Note 10+ (unlike the S20 which have influence over the Note lineup, but not that direct), so several shops already had their price that low, but now more are catching up.

Though I am not a market specialist in any way, that is just how I interpret it and it could be totally wrong.
