lewein, 30 Mar 2020no headphone jack = check higher price = check What do yo... moreI was upset first when companies started dropping the 3,5mm jack. Back then, wireless earbuds weren't really a thing and the few that were out there, were either super expensive or very bad. Nowadays we have a ton of really nice wireless earbuds (and headphones) so I don't really care about the lack of the headphone jack anymore. I think I've used the headphone jack maybe once or twice on my OnePlus 5T which I bought in 2017, and I don't remember using it at all in the last year. So I really have no use for it. It also makes it easier to water-proof the phone, which OnePlus has finally decided to do. I'll take an IP68 rating over the headphone jack, thanks. They've also included wireless charging, which is something I must have in my next phone. So I might be looking into buying a OnePlus 8 Pro when it comes out.

Flagship killer = full fledged flagship. 8mp telephoto is a clownshow at this level. This won't only be a downgrade, but an expensive one.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2020Skip... will wait for 8tI doubt if the 8T camera would be any different.

Definitely would want to see a sibling rivalry in the camera department between the OP8 Pro and the Find X2 Pro.

Whackcar, 30 Mar 2020Almost every brand has gotten rid of the headphone jack, so... moreYeah, they're just releasing the same phone as the Oppo find x2 pro as it saves costs from bulk orders. The Oneplus 8pro will be cheaper though than the Find x2 pro but i'd guess it will be pretty much on par with the s20 and Huawei p40 pro

Whackcar, 30 Mar 2020Almost every brand has gotten rid of the headphone jack, so... moreGetting rid of an essential feature because all other brands did so is plain stupid and makes no sense. Jacking up the prices every iteration is also uncalled for because it is done for their profits only. Did your income increased every year in the way all prices around you have? Rent, food, appliances, electronics, everything increased but the wages not. "but they add new features and stuff so they have to increase the prices", utter nonsense. Spare me the excuses. Have a great day.

T M, 30 Mar 2020No periscope camera = no care Thats the new standard if ... moreJeez, do you want a flagship killer or a full-fledged flagship? The whole idea of "flagship killer" is offering 95% of the performance for waaaaay less money, and if you want 100% of the performance, well, then the price goes up and it's no longer a killer. Periscope lenses are good for precisely one zoom option, there's no versatility and that makes it a gimmick, not a necessary feature that really affects the experience.

I'd rather they work on developing digital zoom algorithms and other software solutions instead of wasting money on IP rating, QHD, 120Hz, wireless charging, etc. because iPhone will smoke them in night mode, custom zoom (e.g. 3.7x) and color consistency.

lewein, 30 Mar 2020no headphone jack = check higher price = check What do yo... moreAlmost every brand has gotten rid of the headphone jack, so you can't just point the finger at OnePlus for that.

They're upgrading & adding features. So obviously the price is gonna increase. Their prices will still be lesser than Samsung/Huawei/Sony etc.

I'm not saying they're a perfect brand (none is), I'm just saying they're improving & adding some of the most-requested features. That is good.

Also, there's supposed to be a "Lite" version this year, which should be cheap & likely have a headphone jack. So you can look forward to that if you want.

OnePlus is very Boring nowadays, since Samsung UI got a lot better and stunning design and pixel has above average design now and still better cameras than OP7

OnePlus is very boring nowadays, even mediocre Google pixel looks interesting now.

If u are an ign0rant, that 48mpx sensor is better than the 64 mpx

Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but with 120° ultrawide lens, won't it be the widest among the current crop of phones using 40mp >= as ultrawides?

                                Just asking.

Sounds promising but with these improvements, a 120hz panel, wireless charger and IPS rating I think this will be a bit out of my price range.

Hoping vanilla OP8 will be a bit more realistic.
