Lg should have kept the volume buttons on the back and just continue G and V moniker.

Lg should kill off their bad update behaviour.

Still a fan though.. but LG you are making it harder and harder for the fans.

KondriX, 01 Apr 2020I know, I had a LG V20, and I didn't see any big difference... moreThe v20 was also snap 820. Which handled it well then. Display tech and especially the processors have improved greatly since then. Cpy, graphics, ram, codecs, buss speed... All handle it perfectly now. There's virtually no difference.
    And it's not because pentile.
The 5.7 inch QHD note 4 panel was more efficient than the 4.7 to 5. Whatever inch of the other LCDs of the time time. While being brighter, larger, and higher resolution.

Anonymous, 31 Mar 2020Phones have been handling QHD displays since the Snapdragon... moreI know, I had a LG V20, and I didn't see any big difference between QHD and FullHD, especially on LCD, but it does consume more power. Maybe it does make sense for Pentile screens..

Otherwise it's been limited and over priced.

Anonymous, 31 Mar 2020Winner companies already exist. Stop dreaming.I just want a decent Pixel, don't need a winner company. Want an upgrade from my 2XL. Google have yet to deliver.

PAGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, 30 Mar 2020Yeah they are better..and fun fact LG had first OLED deviceYou can say that all you like but it doesn't change the facts. In most ways the Samsung panels were ahead.
And I don't think they had the first Oled phone. And even if they did Samsung was still the one the pushed most advancements in Mobile displays and that has nothing to do with which one is better now.

LG, no idea how they keep going. Google should just get them to supply the Pixel range. Ditch Soli, have a great battery, Google imaging, LG telephoto. Job done. two companies win.

so the g8 was the last g series true flagship? lg did put everything on that phone... every gimmick and sensors...

the g series could be the flagship with compact size... they kinda getting that idea with g2 but after that.. they keep making it bigger ...

they follow samsung too much.. g4 was great but g5 modular was expensive.. then g6 released with outdated soc for flagship that year and they put differential featured according to regions.. g7 and g8 were ok but again they blurred the line between g series and v series. .

                                      im fine with ..
g series using ips while v series using oled.
g series focus on still photograph(g2 and g4 were great in this area) while v series focus on video recording
g series have compact body while v series featured a bit screen
just release one version and run same software/firmware across all regions(fast update).

I was eating a Snickers when I saw this news. Very funny. But I don't think changing lineup name will double the sales.
