Hello Life, 02 Apr 2020what are you talking about? Lowe base speeds are always bet... moreLow base speed isn't for movies. Base speed is for the base tdp(pl1?) and turbo speed is for turbo tdp(pl2?). You can check XTU info boxes, they're quite good if you need a "...for idiots" handbook.

The 1070 mxm option has the potential to be more powerful than a desktop 1070 reference. Baisicaly you can say that Sony is probably going to be pulling a 1070 with the gpu on the ps5.

AnonD-833125, 02 Apr 2020Gaming laptops, enough said. After my 1000EUR HP gaming l... moreI disagree.

My laptop can run Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order at 1080p@60, epic settings, perfectly.

          The specs.

-Intel Core i5-8300H (which is better than Ryzen 7 3750H, according to benchmarks. Visit notebookcheck for details).
          -16 GB RAM, DDR4 at 2666 MHz.
-GeForce GTX 1060, 6 GB GDDR5 (and the aformentioned game's recommended system requirements says I need a GTX 1070 (desktop)).

Also can run Doom Eternal at 1080p@60 in high quality, FarCry New Dawn at 1080p@60, ultra settings, and several others.

So, I bought a very capable gaming laptop. If you were dissatisfied with your laptop, doesn't mean all should stop buying gaming laptops.

Rock, 02 Apr 2020Intel is the best for over all purpose use 1 pc. No AMD is infinitely better , and Zen 3 is coming soon with huge reductions in memory latency, seed and effeciency, about time to finish Intel dominance once and for all.

Nice intel 14nm and AMD 7nm...……….. Intel seems to be in a death spiral. How much more heat does 14nm generate.… phones are going to 5nm. Maybe GE will buy them out

Wow that base speeds are pathetic. Anything above 10750H could be countered by AMD with just a single variant Ryzen 4900H with its 3.3 Ghz base speed. Couldn't even bothered by the Core i5 since they are all just quad cores, especially in 2020. :/

Never buying Intel in my life again I mean never ever

Bought Ryzen 3600 for my gaming PC this January , that replaced my ageing 2500k similarly waiting for ryzen 4800HS CPU for my laptop and maybe 4600U laptop for my brother.

                            Intel is done for me.

                            Slow and pathetic.

Now they should match 5th or 6th gen Core i3 for Desktops, what do you say?

Laptops always got such hardware you can call them Cr@ptops..

Don't think Intel is doing a good job with this gen's chips, as if the difference between even the 8th gen chips are minor. Notebookcheck was also 'meh' with the 10th gen Intel SoCs. AMD has done better with its Ryzen lineup while costing less. Hope more gaming laptops also utilize the Ryzen CPU and Radeon GPUs.

So basically 9th gen H series with slightly higher clock speed, got it. Good luck in competing against AMD's 7nm solutions with this hot garbage.

After my 1000EUR HP gaming laptop with i5 7300HQ, 8GB RAM, GTX 1050ti (back in 2017), didn't play Doom (2015) at 1080p with high details or crashed out of Mad Max Fury Road countless times, I said no thank you. Not to mention the heat problems, sometimes the processor will reach 90 degrees Celsius. And no, is not about manufacturer or price point, I saw this even on 2000EUR gaming laptops.
My advice, stay away from laptops if you want decent gaming.

I would go for 35w 7nm AMD 4900HS instead of these old Skylake 14nm+++++++.

They compared it with a 3 year old pc lmao. Frequency is a buzzword, we need to know IPC values. Also, hang like ten more plusses to 14nm.
