I hope that the OnePlus 8 hasn't broken the record for the most expensive phone. :-P (for this award is the preserve of the iPharce).
Rather, I am hopeful that one of records achieved is for the performance (or features) per unit currency - in other words, the most valuesome phone ever to be made available. If so, then 'Never settle' is surely most fitting as the company's motto.

They only need high end camera and wireless charging, Oxygen os is so powerful to take on galaxy s10 with oneplus 5,u will choose op5 3 yr old over s10 in performance and smoothness I'm not even talking about 7 pro, just put camera aside and see the beast rising

xz2 premium - sharper than most of the flagship that use oled on the market.
lg g7 - brighter than most lcd and on par with some oled display
iphone 8+ - have a very accurate color calibration and better than oled.
one of the reason why oem start using oled on their flagships because they want to use under the display fingerprint and hole punch camera without having a light bleed.. BUT it does not mean lcd is bad display.. lcd can still produce accurate color better than oled ...except black..

Anonymous, 02 Apr 2020They do not test phones from LG, Sony , Huawei nor Sharp. As far as I know, they do test Huawei phone and they praise their camera. They don't post anything about display because BOE panel doesn't earn anything remarkable lol.

Whoever use amoled from sammy got praised from displaymate. Google and LG used poled never got praised or Huawei who used low quality BOE panel doesn't get any love from displaymate.

The problem is, they gonna have curved displays which are unnecessary and rubbish. Any smartphone with curved display is rubbish.
