The one i had and my sister still uses it with still 2 days battery life, is the cheaper version 64GB/4GBRam.

And as a photo enthusiast that loves to take time with a subject, why should I be forced to box that same subject within forms of what a "smartphone should or shouldn't do" or what #smatphone photography should or shouldn't be like"? Who came up with these rules 😅 the fingerprint scanner is definitely not the best, but common, there are flagships out there with bigger flaws so...i understand your point, but...the fingerprint Scanner is not the reason you buy a phone...i never should be actually hahaha who buys a phone because of the fingerprint scanner???? Lol

As for all the others is see no overpricing whatsoever... so you kind of speak for yourself.

LG Superfan, 07 Apr 2020That's why I said it should have a dedicated chip for pictu... moreYeah, but nokia 9 has 12 mp shutters and believe me, not even Snapdragon 865 would be able to proccess those monster shots in less then 5 secs. Now add to that a hole lot of more Pixels. The probem in Nokia 9 is not the picture taking, is the proccessing behind it, cause it snaps the shots as fast as all other, the backgroud proccesing (aka merging of the taken pics) is the small flow the Nokia 9 has. A flow that will never go away as the cpus have kinda reach their maximum calculating power with this device. And i do not think a dedicated cpu will help, maybe an nvidia GPU will change the game here, but the snapdragons, at least for now, will not be able to proccess so much info you demand in a reasonable amount, maybe when quantums come out (lets hope they don't).

A good photo on smartphone should be fast to produce with good colors and sharp details.
On a camera, there is a research of creativity, appreciation of the subject , environment, light... With a camera you spend time to appreciate your subject.
The Pureview was too slow to be considered as a good photophone, it's only appreciated by photographs who can play with lens, but that stops there. All the other things were too bad, the fingerprint reader never fixed, too short battery and several bugs. Funny phone but that stops there.

What's a Nokia?
I don't know if I know a leading mobile company that fails so much (the newer palm doesn't count). Let's see, the vertical little screen on the Nokia Taco phone (called such as to use it as a phone, looked like you had a taco shaped object stuck out of your head) to falling behind in style and the move to android, to no small android phones and lack luster video features, to keeping those two going, to new pureview not having enough performance and being released far too late with the little it did, after Christmas, to delaying release of a better replacement with the 855 the previous late version could have come with, to delaying to come with an 865 when an 875 and a chip that could speed up the process to 4k+ video rates, should be released before end of the year. Soft peddling backwards is not an answer to get market dominance, but be a sacking offence.

That... moreI said monochrome because its lack of bayer allows more light and higher dynamic range and since this will be true 108MP its details would be much higher compared to 108MP RGB with Nona bayer and I already said it should have a dedicated chip for images which will take some load off of SoC but I agree they probably won't invest in something like that again or they can use 108MP with traditional bayer (no quad or nona) with 9-in-1 pixel binning in low light

Sure they have mastered the point and shoot but more importantly they have succeeded that to convince everyone that end results of their point and shoot is actually what mobile camera photo should be. That means HDR everything with ridiculous tacky tone mapping that ghosts around details and edges due to stacking is actually very quality looking photo to them.

Nokia should stick to their basic but very well established theme. Regular fingerprint scanner, no notch/small bezel, 3.5mm jack, 18W charging(fast chargers ruin battery life significantly) and do what they want with the camera. I wouldn't mind if Nokia 10/9.3 or whatever they want to name it by pricing it 20%more than what they charge now for Nokia 9 Pureview.

I am very disappointed . But I know it will be launched. Nokia Lumia phone's were like disaster atleast for me and that horrible WINDOWS 8

I still cannot believe that 90% of you are still bashing the N9 because of the camera. People! It has a different principle of taking photos and processing them than other phones do, deal with it! In fact, the outcome is sooo much better than everything else on the market. But no, the only thing that matters is a ready-to-insta product right?

Carol, 06 Apr 2020No ARM cpu/gpu on this earth will ever be able to procces t... moreThat's why I said it should have a dedicated chip for pictures and it won't be taking photos from all cameras at once it will actually only take photos from two cameras RGB and B&W of same focal length and last 9 Pureview was able to process photos from 6 cameras without actually killing itself and it used 845 and 865 is much more powerful and combined with an image processor it may work
