If they believe that we are going to buy their ugly and overpriced dated hardware in exchange of a few software tricks they are very wrong. And worse in the future as the leaks shows pretending sell us mid-range SoCs and hardware at the price of flagships from other companies that works very well and Inthe future even faster than their crappy hardware. No thanks. I value my money more. If I need extra software I'll install it. There is s lot to choose. But the hardware can't be changed and I want the best for my money.

Android community is so locked on specs many tend to forget the experience, software and hardware in symbiosis. This is where the Pixel shines.

Before everyone poop themselves over this. Did this issue ever get exploited in the real world?

It's basically equally easy to use biometric finger print from a dead or sleeping person.

There are "usable" phones everywhere. But those cost a fraction of what Google ask for these ones that esentially are the same. If they want to ask that much offering less then they not sell well. People value the hardware they are buying not the software tricks. Install extra software features, etc, can be done at any time. What you can't change is the hardware you bought. And the next one will be a mid-range phone asking a flagship price because their face if Google...

They'll fail, like HMD with their overpriced phones. And seems that LG will follow them soon with the new alleged premium series that are a mid-ranger inside. You can try to wash the brain of people with excuses and verbiage. But like now, in the future people will vote with their wallets closed against these overpriced junk.

Pixel 4, is much better than you think.
Screen: Meh? not really, best in the class. It's not brighter than some, but that's a good thing, not a bad thing. It will last you longer, without the burn-in issues. I never had a problem with it on a sunny day, so really don't see any problems here. The screen is one of the best in reflection, so again it needs less brightness than others, and that will save battery and the screen. That was a smart move. But people that cares about numbers will not notice that.
Large form factor? I bought it because it was one of the smallest devices out there that ticked most boxes. It have a bump in the top, but I prefer that than a chin, or ruining the screen with holes just to say it have a "larger" screen than the other....
Low storage? 2020 still don't have a cloud storage or/and music streaming or/and have movie streaming? wow. If you want all your life inside your phone, your right, pixel is not for you.
limited camera options? lol, if it takes best pictures in class without a single change in settings in less than 1s 99% of the time, thats a bad thing now...lol. If you want to play with more advanced settings, there really much better cameras (not smartphones) for that propose.
Battery is more than enough. I was worried, that's true, but after 1 week of use, my worried stopped. AI, make a good job saving battery. And since the battery size is "small", the weight of the phone is fantastic.
Comfort is a thing that I value, and pixel 4, provides that. When I pick my friends phones, I really don't get how they carry a "brick" in their pockets...and they are fine with that..but hey, they have 5000mAh battery and 12Gb ram and 7 cameras....

Pixel is not about numbers. It's about UX, if you don't care about that, yes Pixel is not for you.

Disclosure, I'm a Pixel fan, and have been eager to get one since I left Windoes Mobile. Waste of time, in my opinion. The one bit I like is the design, which is lovely. Sadly this year the rumours state they are going with a mid ranged chip, so another missed year, in my opinion.

Maybe you are one of those fan boys who thinks at Sony products (which by the way some of them are really good, like headphones, consoles or TV's) and then immediately buys their smartphones. Sony smartphones are 0 nowadays, I would rather buy Realme, Oppo or Xiaomi phones (and I don't even like Chinese brand phones, except maybe for One Plus).
Great offerings? They have like 3 models per year.
Innovation? 4k in a damn 6" screen for what? Just to show off, nothing practical or useful about it. Apple put 720p in a 6" and still looks good, because it matters the quality of the display, not the resolution.
I like Sony, as a firm, but their mobile division is weak, is staying alive just because of their name, nothing more.

They've been pioneering many features for smartphones ever since, and their current offerings are some of the best, if not the best (aside from LG, name one super premium high end phone that has a 3.5mm jack, as well as a 90Hz 4K HDR 21:9 OLED screen).

I don't see your point of them stopping making great alternative products that don't even do anything bad to your life, aside from maybe you're hating them too much and want them to fall down (typical reason for people with such comments on Sony making fantastic products).

But, nevertheless, Google, like Sony, should stop making smartphones and concentrate on what they do best.

In the HMD-Nokia style and sadly now seems that LG too. Well, it doesn't matter we have alternatives to buy from other brands. Worse for them if they believe that ask more for giving customers less will make them more profitable. At some point they'll flop and be totally sunken once people watch it.

Try the Galaxy S20/Note 10's face recognition and it still has flaws in it. Current iPhones have nearly no issues with Face ID except few unlock fails when tilted and sometimes slow unlocks. At least this is something Apple gets it right and it works. Android phones can just rely on fingerprint sensors.
