15 May, 2012
It seems Australia is the second country to launch the Krait-powered version of the HTC One X.

Wrong facts in the story. Australia is the third country to get the One XL, after Canada and the US. In fact, Rogers in Canada was the first carrier globally to launch the One XL on April 20th, well in advance of the early May launch by AT&T in the US.

kevin, 15 May 2012$850 is too much for xl? isn't it? how come one x is cheape... moreSo this seems strange at first because there is nowhere as much demand for the dual core chipset compared to the quad core worldwide. Simply put users demand a quad core processor but US carriers are forcing LTE down their throat. The dual core snapdragon S4 is the only chipset with integrated LTE. This creates shortage and high price of snapdragon S4 devices for those who do prefer the more efficient 28nm chip. Make the quad core version available in the US and there wont be any shortages at all.

"This makes Australia the second country to get a Krait-powered One X after the US" WRONG! Canada had it first, followed by the US. This makes Australia the 3rd country to have it.

crazy k, 15 May 2012dual core its crap up version is quad coreSeriously marketing tricks got you. There are much better dual-core chipsets than many other quad-cores. For an instance, the A15 Krait is better than many A9 based quad-cores (let's say every SoC on sale now, excep the Exynos 4412). If only Samsung outed an Exynos 5 (especially the Exynos 5250) in a handset, I'd buy it.

                            one x vs one xl

                            32gb vs 16gb
                            quadcore vs duocore
539 vs 660 euros (the Netherlands)
no lte support vs lte support

                            this does not make sense.
the xl should be cheaper if looking at the specs 16gb and duocore.

i think the xl is better, for now.
compare the one s and one x from reviews.

What with 16GB fixed interna... moreI agree with your comment. 16GB is not really enough and perhaps only 13GB is usable. Yes, that's what happened with Galaxy Nexus it's a big, big flop in the middle east especially here in Saudi Arabia even the price tag lowered tremendously. I, for one, wanted to get Galaxy Nexus but when I learned that only 16GB and without SD expansion, I lost immediately my interest. I think 16GB is ok with a mid-range phone but like Galaxy Nexus considered a high-end smartphone 16GB (w/o SD expansion) is ridiculous, though I am ok with 32GB even without SD expansion.
