Very strange considering the Exynos is so much worse. It is like buying last years' flagship. I guess Samsung successfully flooded with misleading commercials and reviews only of the Snapdragon variant.

In the case of later release, it's either they buy this $1400 beta device or wait for others that are nearly flawless in comparison. And no, prices don't drop that easily, especially not on Samsung's highest end device. The cheapest price of a brand new base model Galaxy S10 (non-Plus) in my area is still around $600 when I recently checked it.

          Hard to believe TBH.
Even in this situation, where most of the people are looking for any distraction or a new toy ...

Better than expected is not a physical number. There are other articles that states the s20 series fails to reach the s10s numbers, not even close.

Just another media/shareholder spin article. The real truth is in the pudding in a few months.

Well... This goes to show that prices are going to skyrocket every year for slightly lacking hardware. I really wish I can custom-make my own smartphone...

The general public has thankfully become immune to the FUD machine in Cupertino.
I didn't get the S20 Ultra myself, I got the Z Flip and I love it! A Galaxy Note size screen that easily fits in any pocket. This year is one of the rare years for true mobile innovation, the kind we haven't seen in almost a decade.

I wonder what "better than expected" sales means with the total quarantine and the massive loss of jobs.

Either expectations were low or this report is bogus just like the fold report

Samsung yet again hits a home run by launching the device early.
All its competitors are yet to be available for purchase.
By the time, other 2020 flagships are launched, Samsung will get multiple updates and have improved software compared to newer 2020 flagships which will have some bugs being a new device.

that's all i can say, NEW TECH NEW PROBLEM

Expectations were low to start with, especially with COVID19.
