China have invested heavily in education and R&D for decades. It was the same with Japan and Korea. It took decades of investment before you see the rewards.

So, yeah, they are the driving force for innovations nowadays and not because of stealing but because they actually invest a lot of money in R&D. And I'm European be we should be realistic and give credit where its due.
