So you still have to buy the games?

"... to play for free forever" Nonsense, as with any PC streamibg or mega hub platform like Steam, nothing is forever, if one of those companies will cut the service, you will loose anything inside the platform

Wolf359, 09 Apr 2020"But at least you get to keep the game and will be able to ... moreits true for any online game or service.
      Steam dies => not forever
Bestheda dies => game stops working (online piracy check, online play)
      etc.

That said its fair to be concerned that Google would kill Stadia way before any of these things happen

The comment count tells me all I need to know about Stadia. Given their performance and mistakes with Pixel devices, I'd like them to focus their energies on that please.

I think Steam games with Denuvo is the lowest form of drm gamers are willing to bend over into.

              Not this one.

"But at least you get to keep the game and will be able to play it at 1080p for free, forever."

Check your facts, writer. If Stadia folds (which isn't as far fetched as it may sound) you don't get to keep the game.

Barricade, 09 Apr 2020"You also need to buy the game you want to play and it will... moreI was thinking the same. If it closed within 5 years and had a full money back guarantee i might give it a go.. but the games are terrible and old, so a pass for now.

Barricade, 09 Apr 2020"You also need to buy the game you want to play and it will... moreExactly. Internet is littered with far too many lists of cancelled Google services meant to live "forever" at the time of their announcement. The free tier might have the life expectancy of a rat in pythons' terrarium - I'd be quite cautious before investing into it. This may apply in general - given that games may easily cost tens of USD/EUR/GBP, my personal opinion is that buying games distributed without any ties to things like Stream, Origin, Uplay makes most sense.

Forever, huh? Wow, I get to continue playing the game on Stadia even when Stadia eventually shuts down due to low use and popularity just like Google+? Neat! /s

Honestly ... nope, nope, nope ..... Still not hooked, a lousy attempt !!!

"Forever" in Google standards means no more than 5 years.

                            Lame. Bring on the PS5!

When this will be available world wide. I have PlayStation and a Switch but i would love to give a try. Competition means happy customer. Idea seems to be good but the implementation so far is not to the point as per the reviews.

"You also need to buy the game you want to play and it will only be playable on Stadia. But at least you get to keep the game and will be able to play it at 1080p for free, forever."

Forever? That's a bold statement for a Google product.
