the first 1000 customers with carphone got a galaxy tab for free too. They were also doing 32gb memory cards but they have had so many pre-orders they have run out of 32gb and had to go with a 16gb, invisible shield and car charger........much better deal!!!

First of all news is a bit late, because that deal is available on P4U website since the S3 announcement (that's two weeks now).
2nd of all CPW deal gives you 16GB card, car charger (good thing) and totally not needed screen protector (Gorilla Glass 2 - you won't scratch it even with keys or coins), that will annoy you even more exposed on sunlight...

If you are thinking of buying offline like I am this deal is not worth it £600!?!
Pre-ordered from play.com for £500 plus top cash back of £20 which went towards a 32 GB Class 10 micro SD (deal found on hotukdeals) totalling £500! Dont even like the case, personally.
I went for the white one but if you go for the blue one you get a screen protector and case at no extra price!

just to highlight the above review...
at the carphonewarehouse you get a 32gb microsd card (not 16gb ) if you preorder with them. also you get a car charger.
They did have an offer of the free galaxy 10.1 tablet but that was for the first 1000 preorders.
release date: 29/05/12 shipping date to preorder customers up to 30/05/12.

[deleted post]As much as I would like this to be true the SGS3 more like one in a group of escort frigates than a flagship...
There are already other devices offering similar or better hardware spec & performance - Meizu MX Quad, Panasonic Eluga Power, HTC One X, even LG Opt LTE2! All of these have (arguably) better overall design, and Meizu in particular have one-upped SGS3 using Samsung's own chipset!
Yeah, SGS3 has some innovative features, but there is nothing earth-shattering or pace-setting.
The reality is you have to really split hairs to say that SGS3 comes out in front OVERALL as it does not lead in every category and in those it does the margins are small. This is a missed opportunity for Samsung to have put forward a clear class leader; instead we have a photo finish.
After how SGS2 really set the pace I for one was sooo looking forward to seeing SGS3 cement the crown.

I wonder why no-one is offering the 64gb model?
I know the 32gb is Vodafone exclusive for a month, but I'd like to see more than the basic 16gb version being sold on contract!
