Utterly deluded pricing.
Who the hell is stupid enough to spend anything more than a few hundred pounds on a mobile phone? Especially in the current economic climate with businesses going bust every day.

Another DOA phone. No one in UK gonna pay £900 for a OnePlus when you can get the S20 for £800 or the S20 plus for 1,000

SD865 is $80 more expensive than SD855. Companies using SD865 have no choice but raise price. This is why Samsung swap out SD865 for cheaper Exynos in non-important markets

There is... Like... No reason to go with the vanilla 8. It's inferior in every way to the 7T/7T pro. Just because it has 5G.
As for the Pro, while the hardware is 3 steps up (48MP wide angle cam, IP68 [never asked for this actually...], and wireless charging), it's too much money for something that doesn't have expandable memory or 3.5mm jack.
They settled alright. Gonna wait for Motorola and HTC before pulling any triggers. This year has been more disappointing than last year in terms of phone pricing...

The phone not only have a single camera. If only have a single good camera, don't have expandable storage, don't have other good cameras like a periscope one, no jack, No 3D face recognition and scanner, even a single cheap IR blaster but cost as expensive as an S20 Ultra, P40 Pro, etc. Being one of the most expensive phones today. They its overpriced, and you know it. The most funny will be wath the independent comparatives of those cheap cameras as if you remove the cameras. Those OnePlus phones have nothing more to offer. And in that single thing they'll be inferior an worse costing the same.

Do you really believe someone will buy your phone on these absurd prices, comparable to Samsung and IPhone? Especially when we know how much cheaper it is in China...

What is not nice is that John Lewis (the screenshot comes from their site) bumped up the price of one of the previous generation models of £50 to diminish the incentive to buy an older model I suppose.

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2020If only you had used a OP device before... They've always just been rebranded Oppos (with the exception of the Oneplus 7pro) with different software and minor tweaks. Oneplus software is more tailored to the Western market and Oppo is more tailored to the Chinese market. The hardware is the same to save costs. They two companies even share the same headquarters. The OP8 pro though will be better value than the Find x2 pro
