I wish they had kept the pop-up Camera.. I hate these holes in the display. Maybe next year.

So basically a 7T with an Instagram livery titled "Interstellar Glow" with no telephoto lens, same image sensor as the 7T for $700 - No Thanks!

Whackcar, 14 Apr 2020I understand why people are upset with the price hike. But ... moreBecause OPs niche was selling a flagship with 90% of its competitors features for half the price. Now they think they can do that and charge near the same price as their competitors. Stupid move.

Whackcar, 14 Apr 2020I understand why people are upset with the price hike. But ... moreTotally agree with you the op8 pro is 500$ cheaper than the S20 ultra . Even if the price is the same 899+500
I would go for the op 8 pro because of software much much much better performance +25%, much better display .....
Why do you expect from the op 8 normal to be the same price op 7 despite having better display , better speakers ,5g and punch hole wich you should pay for it.
And better CPU , GPU , ram , ufs ..... I f you are a camera man and don't care about performance or display or anything go for the op 7 if you are not like me go for the op 8 wich is 600$ cheaper than the ultra.
Btw I am a Xiaomi fan and not OnePlus
And I gonna be a Vivo iqoo fanboy after the release of Vivo iqoo 3 neo 144hz for 390€

Rh apex.predator, 14 Apr 2020So overpriced for the qualityObviously you have never used one. Better built than most phones I have used.

It's realistic, ask a lame man, one plus vs Samsung, I would even choose Galaxy note 9 over one plus 8, only thing it got over the note is newer chipset.

                      Oneplus : Never Settle
Also Oneplus : keeps the same rear design for 3 gens in a row

Rh apex.predator, 14 Apr 2020First is brand name , Samsung and Apple got that, second is... more1) The OnePlus phones costs lesser than equivalent models from Samsung & Apple. So that levels out the brand name value. 2) OnePlus has decent after-sales service considering the scale of the company. 3) This phone has the same camera setup as the Find X2 Pro, which ensures excellent quality. 4) OnePlus phones are pretty reliable too. In fact, OnePlus phones age better than Samsung, LG type phones due to running on stock-ish software & having excessive amount of RAM. Some of my friends are still using their old OnePlus 5/6 devices without issue.

for the retards asking price i better spent it on either the upcoming Note 20 ,Aplel 12pro (even though i despise aplel) heck i even considered getting the ROG phone 2 then this overprice piece of crap that is one+ 8....holy hell

The prices are definitely a bit high but remember people no one is forcing you to buy a phone at launch/pre-order. You can always *gasp* buy it one year later or wait until it's 30-50% off to purchase. Launch prices are always completely irrelevant since most phone brands drop dramatically in price after one year and older flagships become much better bargains than current mid-rangers for usually a better price. There's no need to feed into this $1000 flagship nonsense unless you can afford it, which then you wouldn't be complaining in the first place.

Whackcar, 14 Apr 2020I understand why people are upset with the price hike. But ... moreFirst is brand name , Samsung and Apple got that, second is after sales, service, 3rd is image quality, n 4th is durability, Samsung phones tend to hold out for so long, premium build, and premium parts used, you need more reason I tell you.

I understand why people are upset with the price hike. But the people who are saying they'd rather buy Samsung/iPhone for that price, why are you ok with those companies overcharging you but not ok with this company doing the same. You essentially get the same product, spec by spec. Feature by feature. (Referring to OP8 Pro here) Yet you treat them differently. Your complains become less reasonable due to your bias. Just saying.

                                  Look we have three cameras!!!
Oh but only two usable ones.

Hmmm... I'm not sure if the omnidirectional PDAF and native 3x optical zoom telephoto sensor would be a better choice compared to the vanilla OP8. The vanilla OP8 won't have 120Hz and QHD+ screen resolution, but that means much longer battery life. Maybe time will change my mind...

                                      Overpriced:(

                                        $999.

                                        Amazing, isn't it?
