pretty impressive for a unisoc chip

Isn't unisoc a renaming of spreadtrum?

Still if we get a 5G tech under 200 or 150 bucks it should be pretty damn interesting.

Kayak, 15 Apr 2020Why there is only ARM that designs the cores?if you want to design own cores it's extremely difficult I mean literally the most difficult, even 140$ dollar Amazon can't do custom cores.

Even Apple designs custom cores based on ARM Instruction set.

Yes ARM has absolutely massive monopoly in cpu cores, and it won't change tell someone bravely takes
risk and goes with RISC-V ISA and redesigns it for X64 mobile platform.

Info leaked about a new Hisense 5G phone based on T7520 (6nm). It is already in testing and will be forthcoming.

A long list of capable companies are looking for a chance to enter the smartphone space. Such is the competitive environment of the Chinese smartphone ecosystem. This is just a water-testing attempt, not yet a serious effort. When Hisense puts out a 5G smartphone based on the much more capable T7520 (6nm) later, you will know Hisense is serious.

                        IpsDisplay, 15 Apr 2020So this is basically a p90?Actually...
                        Dimensity 800 >>> This chip >>>> Helio G90 >>> Helio P90 - on CPU
                        Dimensity 800 >>> Helio G90 >>>> This chip >>>> Helio P90 - on GPU

So this is basically a p90?

At last Hisense launched a real device?
And even more, with an UNISOC chip that has the potential to be as strong as a Snapdragon 835 at reduced price?
                            Interesting.

But I want that chip but with other makers, come on Nokia and LG. Prepare one of them. It would be interesting to see more Mid ranger with those chips instead to use the infamous Helio P22

Forgot about this company... Nice phone. Very capable. Keep an eye on this brand and some of the underestimated under dogs as so to speak...
