Wow these comments are dumb.
Apple Maps users kind of ask Apple's servers to serve them information about their daily commute. Where's the spying here? If people ask me for directions on a daily basis, I can easily tell anyone when people have stopped asking for directions, and therefore stopped travelling,

I was not sure Apple was working for a famous US government agency spying worldwide, but now i am.

As expected the God Apple know your movements, know where you are, your habits and do business with your private data in exchange of nothing. In the real world that is a bad thing. But in the Apple church that is a privilege, making the God Apple more rich and be a good parishioner if a faith dogma. Believe!!! The more you give them the better iSh$$p you are. Amen.
