Nik, 19 Apr 2020No one will take these phones seriously without Google This being the ONLY non-Google option makes it viable for many, you sir have no clue how many who hate Google do you? I hear constantly "Google locked my phone" or "Google spam me with ads" or even more funny "This lady called Google is speaking to me and refuses to go away!" :P

why bother with this phone when you have so much better options on the market with SD855+?
and these phones now are much cheaper.

IMO the most exciting phone of the series is Honor 30S due to its powerful processor and 3X optical zoom at less than $400 for the top model

Anonymous, 20 Apr 2020Dead on Arrival without fully functional GMS. Maybe in US, but definitely not in Europe and Asia

The pro+ is probably not worth the price. The other two are good enough value especially for anyone wanting 5g phones as they offer much faster 5g speeds than phones with snapdragon chipsets. The pro models also have have very good LTE band support which should be fine for all European markets if directly imported (unlike Xiaomi phones). Probably not for the average consumer who is tied to Google though

Honor series used to be very decent midrange with affordable price but since Honor 20 Pro the price has been gone up by a lot. it was 520USD when newly launched and a year later now it is still holding value of 350 USD but nevertheless the specs are great even by 2020 standard. still better than Oppo Vivo of the same price range.

Whackcar, 19 Apr 2020With OnePlus's price hike in Europe, the Honor 30 series wi... moreNo they won't the OIS omission on the + and the same sensor as P30p without G services on the lesser models make this phones DOA.

The P40 has OIS for only 50 euros more, good luck Honor.

Anonymous, 20 Apr 2020Dead on Arrival without fully functional GMS. And no OIS in all phones, while the + costing 750 euros, and 800 for the P40, lol.

At least better than oneplus 8 series, who needs a 120 hz display, expensive phone, large size phones, above average cameras, and 5G right now? Honor and huawei 5g is cheaper.

That oversized branding is uglier than a bulldog licking urine off a thistle

a letdown that the 30 Pro Plus' main camera does not have OIS

Honor smartphones have very limited international exposure, less than 25%. Honor flagships (Honor 20 series, Honor V30 series, Honor 30 series, etc) have more than 85% sale in China, and Honor's lower priced series have somewhat larger exposure to other Asian markets (south east Asia, South Asia, etc), but still minimal exposure to Europe, zero exposure to North American markets. Among all flagship series released so far, Honor 30 Series has the least uncertainty even in this challenging time, since it has a simple logic of "Designed in China", "Made in China" and "Consumed in China". It is still difficult to predict the sale for the rest of the year due to various interruptions. If we take 2020 as a typical year, Honor 30 series can comfortably sell 20-30 millions units based on the strength of this particular series. I will not be surprised if the sale reaches 40 millions by the end of the year in this hypothetical scenario.

People will like it until they discover the absence of Google services.

                                  $700 ... Nooooooooway.

Honor 30 series are excellent Phones....It's value for money very competitive with others brands....am going for the pro version for it good performance and stereo dual speaker, have seen camera reviews from Chinese Reviewers....It beat OnePlus 8 pro camera which mean both 30 pro and pro + have a very good outstanding camera and very affordable and also beautiful...Honor Take my money !!!!

                                      Good phone

With OnePlus's price hike in Europe, the Honor 30 series will find plenty of attraction in the region. The phones give excellent value & an excellent camera setup. I think it deserves good sales.
