Anonymous, 22 May 2012You do realise that milestone had a overheat problem same l... moreWhat on earth could anyone do to their Milestone to make it overheat? First of all it was heavily underclocked at 550Mhz. In DEFY, same CPU is running at 800 Mhz, and I myself overclocked my Milestone to 1Ghz. I don't have it anymore, but it's still being used in the very warm, humid and very tropic Philippines without any problems.
I visited manye forums while owning it, for tips and tweaks. I've never seen anyone mentioning what you're claiming.

Fink, 22 May 2012Im also waiting for that hope they didnt lie to everyone ag... moreConsidering how early we saw leaked ICS ROM's from Motorola for RAZR, I think it's safe to say we shouldn't worry about Moto not delivering.
All I want is a good and stable ROM with all ICS features, and Moto's extra features :)

Trel'lium, 22 May 2012Now all they need to do is make a decent android handset an... moreAre you really that clueless?
Sony has no good sets at all and Samsung mostly have glorified junk. Sells much due to mass marketing and easily impressionable fanboys.
Samsung's top seller the past 12 months? SII, with age old main interface (screen res.), off-balanced colors as well as plasticky and slippery with desperate need of rubber backplate. With nothing extra, no extra goods for the consumers, no innovation at all. When it got ICS; it was a stripped down buggy version and it's better to keep Gingerbread if a stble experience is desired.
Motorola had in the same period the first ever qHD android, first ever 1GB phone, and first ever dual-core android all with their Atrix. A much better phone than the SII, and it brought extra features such as Webtop, which Sony is currently working on their own copy of.
Motorola also launched several 3LM- enabled Androids as well as MotoCast, Smart Action etc. Not to mention they actually give us HDMI ports in our phones and great docking possibilities such as HDMI mulitimedia docks, speaker docks and LapDocks, Smart controller (supports all Androids btw) etc.
Motorola has had the coolest looking and best performing Android since Milestone/Droid. FlipOut outperformed other entry levels phones such as SE Xperia X10 Mini Pro. DEFY and DEFY+ slaughters Xperia Active and Sammy Xcover, despite the fact they both came one year after the original DEFY, they were both much worse. Then Moto launched DEFY+ which further lengthened the gap.
Then there's the Milestone/Droid series. Some have tried, but no one has made better android qwerty-sliders than Motorola. Neither any better non-sliding qwerty phones than Motorola's.
Now Motorola also have the battery king, RAZR MAXX with 3300mAh and same thickness as HTC one X, which doesn't even have a memory card slot - which the RAZR MAXX does have. HTC is by far a much better manufacturer then Sony at the moment though.
Motorola haven't rushed into quad-core, this is actually the first time in a while they didn't go first. But at the moment not much other than a few games in Tegra zone can utilize quad-core. Theres much more to go on on dual-core. Even ICS is the foirst gen of Android really optimized for multi-cores in phones. And we've seen some dual-cores (Krait) outperforming the currently launched quad-cores. Let's just hope the number of cores, instead of actual power, won't be the next "MegaPixel Race".

Wow, 17,000 patents with enough cash behind them to 'iSue' - I'm guessing the threat of that will bring resolution to the legal difficulties sooner rather than later. Can we expect Apple and Google to reach an uneasy truce and the lawyers to be put back in their boxes?
