I hate notches, but hate punch holes more. While thin top and bottom bezels are not that important for me (those of the G6 is great for me). I still prefer no notch nor holes, but if I really have to rank:
Neat rectangular screen >>> notch (looks strange) >>>>>>>>>>> camera holes (just like broken screens)

So, as expected, a single useful camera that probably will be an old cheap one and around 670 euros... Another discarded from my list. All confirmed. Bye bye LG

?Yes, way more aesthetic from design perpective. With punchole screen still looks whole and the outline is clean and elegant. Notch destroys all of that.
Except that phone is beautifull but that notch is a dealbreaker for me. I would even prefer bigger top bezel than notch...

How surprising for a 2020 smartphone...
Is it really that hard to just make a thin bezel and a flat display that CUSTOMERS ACTUALLY WANT ?
Also FFS, make a phone with 3D facial recognition.

This velvet thing supposed to be all about fashion/ looks, but they came out with a copy of a copy of a copy.... that's some design statement! Ugh!
Well, maybe one day LG come back MAKING phones :/

I personally like it. Nice minimalist design. No camera bulge, high screen to body ratio, ... about time.
I've been using lg phones a long time, they're good.
They only need to improve on design and marketing.

Not exactly a new design language. It's just a different camera setup which at least avoids the huge, unnecessary islands that some are using this year.

no doubt about changes,, but still I can't find that charm specially a global brand like LG...and disappointed with notch "its tym now for punch hole".....
