In my situation because the blue OnePlus 8 Pro isn't available, if i was forced to choose between Onyx Black and Glacial Green then i would simply opt for the Black. But guess what, even that's not simple......

Because if i want the black OnePlus 8 Pro then i'm forced to choose the 8GB/128 configuration because they're not doing 12GB/256 for it! I mean if i'm going to spend my hard earned money on a phone i'm going to keep for the next 3/4 years you want the best specced phone possible for what you're paying right? Cos it's a lot of money! Nope, i can't get that for the limited choice OnePlus are offering so i'm totally out of luck on all counts!

This is just a clusterf*ck of epic proportions.

Mr Uk, 22 Apr 2020Am I happy? Absolutely not! My current phone is Sony Xperia... moreI can suggest some - Samsung S10+, LG V50, LG V60, Sony Xperia 1 or 5 or 1 Mark II or 5 Mark II, upcoming Nokia 9.3, Google Pixel 3A XL, upcoming Pixel 4A, Samsung Note 10/10+. All of them will cost you less and perhaps give you the best bang for the buck. I really wish Sony hadn't quit Indian market. They make some of the best phones in my opinion. For the current situation, I would be saving some bucks for who knows, I might need that extra money in emergencies.

I share the exact same concerns as you.

Like your good self, I too am wondering if any other Android phones on par with the OnePlus 8 Pro are due. It appears last year's ASUS Zenfone 6 was highly well received with great specs.

Knowing that, I shall await for the specs of the aforementioned successor to be made available, i.e., the ASUS Zenfone 7, prior to purchasing any phone this year.

My base requirements are: 6.5"+ display, IP68, SD865 (or equivalent; Exynos is lame), USB 3.1 on-the-go port, UFS 3.0, LPDDR4 RAM, no notch, no twin punch hole (cf. Huawei P40 Series), dual SIM, 4500+ mAh battery, decent 25+ W fast charging, 25+ W wireless charging, not heavy in mass, Gorilla Glass 5+, 8+ GB RAM, 256+ GB UFS, no data-siphoning GMS (Google Media Services), no Play Store app, no Google Chrime app, unlocked bootloader, 90 Hz refresh rate, anti-glare display, high brightness, superb display, etc.

I don't care for 3.5" audio jack, as Bluetooth with the aptX HD codec should give CD-esque audio quality; SD card is not going to appear on Chinese flagship phones, so no point dreaming about it; front-facing speakers would be ideal, but it's either that versus infinite display; I'm not a professional photographer nor do I upload pics of me making a total pr1ck of myself onto Instagratification, so telephoto and macro lens are inconsequential for me.

Mr Uk, 21 Apr 2020I live in the UK and want the blue OnePlus 8 Pro. Is it ok ... moreQuote, "I live in the UK and want the blue OnePlus 8 Pro. Is it ok for me to order it from the Dutch OnePlus website and have them post it to me in the UK. Will the internal specs be the same as the UK OnePlus 8 Pro's???"

My understanding is there are four differing geographic versions of the OnePlus 8 Pro: India, China, America, and Global.

The hardware differences amongst the geographic versions are surrounding the ability to receive particular cellular frequency bands.

So I believe the Dutch version should be the 'Global' version, as is the UK version.

Please don't take my word as Gospel, though I have done my best to ascertain the information provided is accurate. I strongly urge you to seek verification from someone who is more acquainted with geographic differences in smartphones.

T M, 21 Apr 2020€50 credit for an iPhone 11 pro?!?!? LMAO, OP is a joke.Quote, "50 Euros credit for an iPhone 11 pro?!?!? LMAO, OP is a joke."

OnePlus are absolutely correct in their assessment of offering 50 Euro credit for an iNotch 11 Pro, because in reality OnePlus are doing a service for ridding you the trauma and pain associated with the iNotch.

In fact, an iNotch owner ought to pay OnePlus an additional 200 Euros (rather than be offered 50 Euros) for the privilege of OnePlus aiding in one's escape from the torture of the iNotch.

Nice one OnePlus, for they truly appreciate the real value of iNotches - not a lot. Respectz fly out to OnePlus.

The colour options in the UK are farcical.

I want the Ultramarine Blue on the 1+8 Pro 12/256, which was previously acknowledged in a previous article. But no, the Brits get the Glacial Green. Not my cup of chai.

To be honest, I want the option of Interstellar Glow on the 1+8 Pro 12/256.

                      What gives ?

My current phone is Sony Xperia Z Premium which I've had for years and is now End of Life. The OnePlus 8 Pro suits my needs and what I'm looking for (top specs for 2020) PLUS it's future proofed for the next 3 years at least. I can live with that and would be willing to make that sacrifice.

Anonymous, 21 Apr 2020It's ridiculous that they won't sell blue version in UK. Wh... moreThe reason is their arrogance and OnePlus thinking they know better than their customers! Why have a blue OnePlus 8 Pro at all if you're not willing to sell it in all the countries where you can buy the phone? It makes no sense. Has someone told them about a blue phone won't sell well in one country but will sell better somewhere else? It's just dumb and alienates buyers.

It's also the same arrogance that's making them sell (in the UK) an Onyx Black OnePlus 8 pro with 8GB/128 configuration but NOT 12GB/256 - why do that? The same for the green one - you can get that with 12GB/256 but NOT 8GB/128. Why do that?! Just offer both for everyone! This sort of shit really pisses me off.
