New way to rip customer by only offering 1 OS update. Seems to me like all companies must be made to follow one rule keep updating all mobile phone which can support the latest android version.

my wife's moto one got update to android 10 2 days ago and it's pretty much low-end line of phones. Works flawlessly for almost 1 year and at what price?! Just wait for this to be official. 800dolars is a great price for this but 1000 a bit much

joe nodden, 22 Apr 2020What a disappointment. $1000!?!the design tempts me but i would rather buy a
        huawei p40 pro+ which as a 10x optical zoom

n there s only a very tiny difference of
        $33-$66 chinese version without gms

but hey i ve bought a zte nubia z17 somewhere around april
2018 which is already 2years now n got used to it in no time

i ve a total of 4 pieces of zte nubia phones n there s nothing i
missed abt gms apart from whatsapp n maybe n maybe utub

n there s another world out there equally beautiful
or perhaps even more that only lucky few know of

          What a disappointment. $1000!?!

I don't think that one year update will become true, they usually give 2 major updates even in its midrange segment

If it only gets 1 major Android update, then it's a complete non-starter for new at that price. I also would not trust Moto on security updates either - my experience is that they roll out updates every few months, and when they do they are at least 3 months behind

So, 1000EUR for a phone that will receive only Android 11. So, you get a phone, that will pretty much cost 500-600EUR after 6-12 months, and you get to keep it maximum 2 years. Yeah, good luck with that. Except Pixel and One Plus phones, flagship Android phones are useless, if you value your money or you want to keep them more than 2 years.
Better go with mid-range phones and change them frequently. You loose less money, and you also get to have the latest devices/design/features each year.

Not bad on paper, bad curved screen edges and only one major update ruin it for me.

Only one major android update?! *enter "F**k this sh*t I'm out meme here*

mel, 22 Apr 2020$1XXXusd phone again! and wait 3-4 months valued by half pr... moreYes. Motorola is known to have good discounts after a few months. I'd say the flagship phone should just cost sub 800 USD.

Motorola is known to have a great build quality and excellent battery life.
The camera on the other hand is just above average. Hopefully Moto engineers have improved it this time.

Motorola is back in premium Phone again. But the fact that it will received only one Android major update is really dissapointing. Especially as Motorola uses near stock Android.

After the razor flop I’m much more skeptical of Motorola “high-end” phones.

Wow! Motorola really stepped up this time! I'm excited about the loudest stereo speakers and great battery life! Motorola is known for having long battery and this one won't disappoint. I just hope they improve more and more on the camera quality.

Of course, there will still be haters but this is as good as the competition.
                                Good job, Motorola!
